The Harrington - Gloucester Road - 1 Harrington Gardens

Central location close to Gloucester Road Tube station. The chap on reception (didn’t get his name) was so attentive and welcoming. If only all hotels in London welcomed you like this. We arrived early and wanted to drop our bags so we could get lunch. He contacted housekeeping and found a room that had been cleaned early and we checked in which was superb. He told us where the local shops were so we could stock the fridge with water etc and gave us recommendations for lunch. The room was perfect - great fitted kitchen with glasses inc champagne flutes crockery etc. We had breakfast in our room tea, coffee and milk is supplied and had a lovely leisurely breakfast with a 11am checkout. We will return.

It’s going through a refurbishment so it wasn’t looking its best in the reception area. It’s a wonderful building so I’m sure it will look wonderful throughout soon.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a great location, close to the Underground, Pubs, Restaurant's and The Royal Albert Hall. The apartment was very spacious with great kitchen facilities.

We were given an apartment that had a interconnecting room connected by an internal door, we could hear everything the couple next door said, no privacy at all. I was going to ask for a change of apartment but the people next door left and no-one else was put into that room. The layout of the bedroom wasn't very good. There was a small gap approx 6 inches to get your legs through to get to the other side of the bed trying not to knock your legs on the wooden bed frame.

No breakfast but kitchen in room which was very good

Lift is a bit rickety, front counter staff very friendly, really well situated , waitrose around corner very convenient, close to underground station, direct to Heathrow , I would stay here again.

Location is great- close to tube station- nice pubs and restaurants in the area. The rooms pretty big. Friendly staff at reception desk.

It’s outdated: the furniture needs an upgrade: curtains don’t close, bed is very uncomfortable and the sofa needs to be replaced. Also the isolation is poor: you can hear the neighbours talking which is annoying. Bring earplugs!
