Overall we feel that the hotel is expensive, given that the room was on the small side and the food, while very good, is expensive. The room we stayed in (#8) needs updating. For example, the chairs are uncomfortable and the air conditioning/heating unit looks old and is somewhat noisy. Also, the room needs to have some charging connections for phones and laptops. We had to unplug one of the lamps to charge a phone. There are no outlets next to the bed on either side. The bath towels in the room are thin, inadequate and need to be replaced with new, thicker towels. The interior door separating the bath/toilet area from the bedroom area is superfluous and completely unneeded.
In the spa area, the whirlpool was a bit of a disappointment, as the water temperature was only lukewarm.

Very excited to stay , on account of the film the day of the jackal . Beautiful inside , lovely views , spa was gorgeous and the breakfast very high quality
Bit put out that you have to pay for tea and coffee - free in all other hotels either in room or lobby that weve stayed in - either similar stars or cheaper - in France and elsewhere

The location is excellent and it is an attractive building with an elevated position on a hilltop with spectacular views from the terrace to the countryside below.
The staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming and particularly so at reception when I at checked in.
Breakfast was good and it was nice taking breakfast seated under the canopy on the open sided terraced area overlooking the scenery below.
The room was quite small but acceptable for me on a solo trip.
I would happily stay there again should I visit that area again.
There was noise from the room above when someone was bouncing something on the floor and also from the adjoining room when they appeared to be using the wardrobe, but this fortunately did not happen when I was trying to sleep.
I only ate dinner in the resaurant one evening and it was okay, but nothing special and I doubt that I would have chosen to have eaten there again if I was staying longer, however, there are a number of alternative places to eat in the pretty village only a short walk from the hotel.
