Fisherman's Resort Haad Chao Samran

Almost everything, the villas were beautiful, awesome pool, lovely staff, good price, food excellent, nice beach.

The gym was awful, like a little greenhouse with three cv machines and no a/c 🥵

Some previous reviews have mentioned there being no hot water. This was not the case, there is hot water in the shower. The room and the bathroom were very comfortable and quite spacious. The beach is beautiful, and the gardens and the second pool were a delight. We didn’t have much of a problem with mosquitoes, just make sure you keep your door closed. There were some sandflies on the beach , just to the north of Fisherman’s Resort, so perhaps stick to the stretch of beach to the south as sandfly bites linger for many days. The breakfast was quite good, buffet style for the most part, with eggs cooked to order and a selection of cooked dishes, pastries, fruit, coffee etc. The staff on the front desk organised a helpful driver to take us to the train station on our last day. The location of the resort in Chao Samran is quite good, you can walk to the main area where there are three 7-11s and a Cafe Amazon, Post Office and many local restaurants in 8-10 minutes. There’s also a good seafood restaurant 3-5 minutes south along the beach.

We arrived about an hour before check in time, and the room not being ready we had lunch in the restaurant. The pad see ew was good, the pad thai was the blandest I’ve ever had. After returning from the restaurant to the lobby they gave us a coupon for 100 baht discount in the restaurant, which was nice, but would have been better timed if given before we paid. After being shown to our room we discovered that the nearby pool was being renovated, which was noisy. Luckily they offered us an upgrade to a garden villa, and took us to a villa, which hadn’t been cleaned. The staff member then went to get the keys to another villa, the seahorse villa, which had been cleaned, and was very comfortable. From that point on we had a very nice two night stay.

Quiet. Staff amazing along with being pleasant to chat with. Nature at your door with abundant of birds. x2 impressive swimming pools, lawned area plenty of trees for relaxing on grass. Beautiful flowers throughout resort.

No espresso coffee available. But that's no big deal.

The bungalow was ideal space and could not fault the stay. The general layout next to the beach and how clean the place could not be faulted

Only slight downside was music from nearby property at weekend. Also if no transport(we had a car) not close to nearly shops/restaurants.
