Loved loved loved. This place is incredibly special. A gorgeous house reef, two different kinds of monkeys, deer on the beach, amazing staff and gorgeous rooms. What more can you ask for? Oh yes, and a vegan breakfast menu. ! I was in heaven here!

I did some fantastic snorkelling on Menjangan Island. Watch out for the Titan trigger fish though!

Paradise

NusaBay is paradise. The mixture between amazing coral reef and the monkeys and the deer made this place incredibly special. Not to mention the incredible staff who run this beautiful hotel and everything that goes to make it so fantastic. The food is fabulous. They even offer a vegan breakfast! The breakfast was so generous that I only ate lunch because I was feeling greedy! I can't tell you how beautiful the room is and the attention the housekeeping pay to all the details. Spotlessly clean and full of character, everything is absolutely perfect. This Resort completely won my heart and I'm hoping I will come back again. Everyone who works here from the restaurant to Reception to the housekeeping is exceptional. Thank you all for an amazing stay !

Amazing peace and limitless beauty

Amazing location. If you want peace and an awesome view, this is the place. The reef is amazing , so much sea life. They have snorkeling and kayaking gear, which is great. The boat transfer is well managed. Their staff was great. The food was nice too, though it lacked variety. They provided us with a really good packed breakfast on the day of our checkout. The spa service was great too.

There were too many bugs everywhere. That should ideally provide bug repellent in the rooms with body spray. It caused us a lot of discomfort. Even the restaurant had a lot of bugs.

Real gem in Bali

We loved everything about this place, it’s absolutely unique and precious. We spotted lots of animals and loved snorkeling in front of the resort and at Menjangan (you can book the trip at the hotel). We also loved the walk in the park thanking to our knowledgeable guide and appreciated a lot that the staff welcomed us at the harbour and helped us with the suitcases (we advise you to travel light though). The staff was lovely and the breakfast very good (loved the many options!), we also loved the complimentary massage and the spa treatments. It’s a perfect place for a romantic getaway, can’t recommend it enough because of all the animals and care the staff has for them. We suggest to stay 3 to 4 nights since the journey is quite long and you want to immerse yourself in the quiet vibe of the place

The airco was really noisy because of lack of insulation of the room. We would advise people not to go there with children: even though it’s nice for them to spot the animals, there’s not much to do and kids can become restless and bored. Dinner options were limited but for a few days it’s okay.

Paradise!

Absolute paradise, so quiet and tranquil. Was amazing watching the deer wander past whilst eating, the monkeys playing nearby the pool. Such a special unique place to unwind. The snorkelling is outstanding and the staff were all so helpful and welcoming. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Room was wonderful but AC was totally inadequate. I asked management to check its functionality, which they agreed to do but there was no improvement. I slept poorly all 3 nights.

One of a kind location with great service

Everything was exceptional! Literally zero complaint. The location is just amazing, right in the West Bali National Park. Deer grazing around you, black monkeys jumping around on the trees - or even your terrace, looking at you with curiosity. Beautiful birds flying around. The staff is always smiling, always helpful, truly wonderful people. Rooms were cleaned and water supply was filled twice a day. The food at the restaurant is great, nice variety of drinks as well, and the breakfast is plenty. We had a great stay!

Stunning and unique location in the middle of nature, but with all the facilities you need.

Stunning and unique location in the middle of nature, very friendly staff and very good massage options. Great food, nice snorkeling in front of the resort. Fun to see the long tail (black) monkeys and deer running around in the area. We felt comfortable with hardly any mosquitos.

Paradise!

This place is paradise. Only a small number of villas so it isn't crowded. Deer and monkeys pass through and hang out around the place. The snorkelling is world class. The staff are fantastic. They tend to your rooms twice a day; once to prepare for the day and once to prepare for the evening. The included breakfast and tea time time snacks were great.

Cannot fault it! We loved the buffet barbecue night maybe if that was offered more often that would be great.

Unique and peaceful hotel

Unique hotel inside the Bali national park. Great for snorkeling and relaxing. Friendly black monkeys and deer walk around in the property. Wonderful staff. Room is cleaned and water refilled 2 times per day. Since it’s a remote location and no stores close by you should bring snacks or other things you might need.

Very relaxed with lovely snorkelling

Beautiful location, the snorkelling off the beach was incredible as were the dives to menjagan island. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The monkeys and deer wandering around were lovely to see.

Despite only ordering multiple vegeterian meals from the main menu they didn’t tell us there was a separate vegetarian menu with more options.

Amazing stay

- the water is crystal clear, a lot of beautiful fish you can see and the nature is beautiful - not too busy, so you have a lot of privacy - it's nicely quiet and you hear a lot of nature sounds - there are deers and monkeys running around - the staff was really friendly and tried to help us in the best way possible. - the massage that was included in our stay, was really relaxing

Magical in every way 😁

It’s magical here … I came for one night and straight away extended to 4 !!! The animals made me smile watching the deer every day when I ate my breakfast was so relaxing. The black monkeys being cheeky was so much fun, it’s baby season at the moment so lots of baby monkeys having play fights :) it’s such a lovely place it’s not for people who want resort luxury - however it is for people who value nature all around, the animals, the sound of the sea, the forest and the butterflies. These are the beautiful things. The rooms are soo comfortable I really loved the four poster bed and the decor. The night time darkness and silence was wonderful. No roosters or barking dogs ;) if you enjoy rustic this is your place. I had a jungle room but it was the highest one and you could see the sea from the veranda so ask for 114 if you can :) also the food was really good I loved the Gado Gado. All in all I hope to come back one day it’s really a special place.

Wonderful resort surrounded by nature.

An incredible location actually in the Bali Barat National Park. Much attention to detail and use of natural materials in the room amenities. Free roaming deer and monkeys and snorkelling off the resort jetty in clear, clean water.

Absolute gem, must visit

Secluded in the jungle, only accessible by boat (hotel shuttle). Deer sit around while you eat at the restaurant. Reef just off the beach, absolutely stunning location, incredibly courteous and helpful staff. We are vegetarians, which is hard for most hotels, but these guys went out of their way to cook for us and make us feel at home. We also went snorkeling and diving with the padi center in the hotel, and they were brilliant. Trained us well, took great care of us, and took us to great spots on menjangan. If you are coming to menjangan, stay here, don't think twice.

Rooms are somewhat small. But not at all uncomfortable.

Its isolated position in the park and close to excellent snorkelling.

As older people we found lots of potential tripping and falling and injury hazards. Two steps down into the bathroom, uneven paths and steps everywhere, hard and heavy furniture and rough walls. Its rustic appeal became a health hazard but we survived with only minor injuries!!

An experience you should definetly try in the dry season!

It is an experience that is definitely worth trying . The location is stunning in the middle of the West Bali National Park, with deer cute baby monkeys and a pig . The staff were helpful and friendly and the villa we stayed in was cleaned daily. There was kayaks and snorkeling gear available for use and there are tropical fish and coral. Our room was a lovely, private beachfront villa and we enjoyed watching the sun rise and set

The food options were limited and expensive . The piles of monkey poo we had to dodge on a dimly lit path and being woken up in the night by the grey monkeys jumping all over the roof. There was a lot of rubbish all over the beach and in the water . We didn't snorkel because of the rubbish, which was disappointing, although there was a bit of rain while we were there which probably didn't help. A grey monkey tried to break in while we were there , although we were warned this could happen and had double locked the door!

It is a boutique bungalows in a national park with a private Beach with the corals in 40 meters. Quite and immersive in the nature. Great staff and food. It s really worth to spend 3 nights to deeply relax. Thank you

A true paradise on earth.

The location is exceptional and perfectly blended in the beautiful National Park. The staff is super available and kind. The resort offers multiple activities like cycling, snorkeling, diving, ecc… Snorkeling and kayaking are free at the private beach of the resort. The SPA offers multiple massages and treatments. You’ll find an incredible restaurant with high quality food. The only “downside” is that you can find some plastic in the sea, but it’s obviously not their fault and the private beach is always super clean.

One of the most special places I’ve stayed.

It was perfect. The staff were so friendly, the location is stunning and it’s been built in harmony with the natural habitat. Monkeys and deer would roam freely around the property. Having only a small number of bungalows meant that it felt really intimate and peaceful. The house reef is amazing to swim around. We went with a 10 month old and everyone was so welcoming and looked after her. The only thing I’d have wanted to change was the restaurant being a bit faster, but the food was all delicious and we were only ever in a rush because of naptimes but I’m guessing most people have time to get a drink and relax. Small point though, I’d come back here in a heartbeat.

It’s one of the most beautiful locations in Bali. The staff are the most kind and welcoming. They always have a smile and are so accommodating. I love that they are so proud of their culture. One of the reasons we travel here is for the kind people, culture, and the beautiful natural setting.

That tourist may just come for instagram photo op, and forget to really appreciate the quietness, beauty, and nature in this amazing place.

Disappointing: swimming in trash

The place would be nice if it were not for the trash.

The sea is full of trash, which spoils every single moment in spend in this facility. You stay on the beach and watch the trash, you go swimming, you swim in trash. They blame in on the fact that trash comes from the sea, but they don't put enough effort into cleaning it. One night in their room is a monthly salary of one person, and it does not take long to figure out how to build a net and keep it clean. I wanted to talk to the manager, but they pretended he was not there and blame it on some other organisation taking care of the natural park. They are the only hotel in that location, and they make tons of money, so they bear the responsibility to pay it back to the nature and the people of Bali. They should heavily invest in cleaning the whole bay. Owners of that place: shame on you!

INCREDIBLE

NusaBay is a hidden gem in the West Bali National Park! It's an experience like no other, being immersed in nature with grey and black monkeys, deer and Justin the pig roaming freely on the resort! All of the staff are so kind and friendly, and will help you no matter what. I did three excursion; sunrise boat trip around Menjangan Island, Nature Village Trek and of course Snorkeling at Menjangan Island. All of them were amazing experiences but nothing compared to the last - a MUST do when in Bali! The free 30 minute massage was also incredible and much needed after swimming with turtles for 4 hours! I cannot recommend this more, I absolutely loved it here

One of the grey monkeys stole my breakfast haha but to be expected. It added to the experience, so I actually loved it!
