I had the most wonderful couple of days at Dhawa Ihuru. I chose the location for its convenient location close to Malé and for its exceptional house reef.
The staff were absolutely brilliant. It’s a small Island, which feels remote and quiet. It’s a place where you just escape from the world, away from the hustle and bustle.
It’s super quiet - in many ways it’s a little sanctuary - a place of peace and calm.
While I was there I snorkelled from sunrise to sunset.
If you love snorkelling there’s a whole underwater world on your doorstep. I swam with Black Tip and White Tip Reef Sharks, Green Sea Turtles, Hawksbill Sea Turtles, Octopus, Eagle Rays and every type of fish. I also discovered Painted Lobster hiding under the coral.
I booked a Manta trip and just 35 minutes away by speedboat, I swam with many Manta Ray, one of the best Manta swims I’ve ever had.
I wanted to thank Najaah, Iyadh, Eni, Waris, Aidai, Aini and all the team at Dhawa Ihuru for making my stay so special.

Food was amazing with good variety and fun alternating forms (buffet, alacarte).
Reef was barely 10 steps from the beach which made snorkeling so accessible.
Staff were all incredibly friendly — with many really making the effort to make our children feel at home and comfortable. Shoutout to Moos and the dining staff, Aimee, Hannah, and the cleaning crew for making each day so special!
Events on the island could be advertised more prominently rather than through word of mouth eg kid centre events :)

This small, intimate resort was the perfect place for my son and I to chill after a week on a scuba liveaboard. The bungalows are comfortable and lovely Each one has their patch of beach from which you can walk into the water and snorkel the excellent house reef. The entire staff was so kind and courteous.
In response to some comments about children, yes it’s family friendly but really not an issue. There were a few toddlers but mostly the children were quiet and unobtrusive
My only disappointment was that masala chai wasn’t on the breakfast drinks menu.
