Superb location in the tourist area. Very safe to walk around at any time of day and night. Lots of ATMs, restaurants, a cinema and shops all around the hotel a few minutes walk away. The hotel is gorgeous. Breakfast was very nice with the option of ordering eggs however you like them as well as a Colombian style buffet and lots of fruits. The staff were ultra helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were lovely and the shower was fantastic. Good WiFi and they had big screens in the lobby downstairs to watch the World Cup football.
It was a half hour taxi ride away from the old city if you're going for a walking tour but it is very easy and safe to get an Uber and I suppose that's the sacrifice you have to make for safety and peace of mind. The old city isn't the best place to be at night the tourist zone is the place to be.

Property shows as elegant, but bedrooms are not that good for the value
Old building, heating system not working properly, Poot Lightning system, breakfast had few options, terrible mosquito issues.
