The stuff were nice, the place was clean.

They held these parties every night during my stay, which was incredibly unpleasant and extremely loud. In general, the price I paid was quite high for the experience I received.q

Easy to find, comfortable room and exceedingly helpful and friendly staff across the whole hotel.

The only issue experienced was the lack of hand rails on the bath and in the shower. Everything else was outstanding.

Perfect break !

Upgraded for free to a beautiful room. Lots of extras available to help yourself to in the hallway; biscuits, sweets, apples, tea bags, coffee pods etc. Fresh milk in a flask in the room. Perfect breakfast, lots of choice and healthy options. Staff friendly and attentive.

Inadequate lighting by the mirrors for applying makeup.

Very good, great location and hotel will come back no worries

Breakfast was nicely cooked and good quality ingredients and fresh. Waiter/waitresses helpful and accommodating Snacks on landing was a very nice touch - my husband loves jelly beans!!

A stay that made us feel very special

When we got to our room we saw we’d been upgraded due to celebrating a birthday. Having a bath in the bedroom was very luxurious

An enjoyable stay & would return!

The beds & pillows were very comfortable. Nice decor throughout & decorated lovely for Xmas. Clean rooms. Pleasant staff.

Better lighting in the bathroom. Shower pressure was low. The light in the corridor shone through the door frame & under the door, making the room bright when trying to sleep. The remote controls in both rooms weren’t working properly. No hash browns with our English cooked breakfast.

Beautiful hotel

We loved the hotel the ambience and their eco values. A cosy double is too small for 2 people and the pillows to soft although the linen was lovely and the room clean and had everything you needed.

Cosy double!! The hotel told us they are usually for single occupancy please note booking.com!! The pillows were great quality but very soft. No other complaints it was great!

Great hotel to visit Bournemouth

Location perfect for Bournemouth Town centre and NIC. Quite hilly so expect a small steep walk down into Town. Hotel well maintained, clean decor. Arbor restaurant great food and excellent value. All staff very friendly and welcoming. Good size car park. Room had tea and coffee, good size wardrobe, free shampoo and body wash.

Room was quite warm, slept with window open.

Lovely stay - very luxurious at a value for money price.

We were given an upgrade to a room with a bath which I loved. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and the linen provided was top quality. The size of the room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was sparkling clean and very tasteful. I liked that we were given a flask of fresh milk rather than those silly pods of milk in most places and there was also a coffee machine with pods which is much nicer than instant coffee. The room was also very quiet. 2 bottles of water were also provided - one still and one sparkling. Always a nice touch. Breakfast was superb.

My only tiny complaints would be that the biscuit jar had no biscuits, and the room could possibly do with a couple of decor touches like a picture on the wall or a plant in the corner - something to just give it a little more character - but that didn't affect our stay at all (this is coming from my training as an interior designer)

Staff were really helpful. Mentioned that I was vegan and they put some vegan treats in the room for our arrival. Very thoughtful touch. The room was fantastic, and we received a complimentary upgrade which was a lovely surprise!

Room, location, bar staff all great

Dear Green rooom management team, please note carefully what I say here as I rarely give feedback. I am only interested in helping you to get better. Your staff were positive, helpful. But it looks like the front-of-house breakfast team was let down by: 1.) Kitchen comms on food availability 2.) Management's cost control/lack of staff training. I.e it felt like management know 'the price of everything and the value of nothing' - and if I see it, so do other people. Not good for repeat bookings? Example 1: No butter with the toast - and I asked twice. When it came, it was a single small portion for two. Suggestion: Self-service dish on the main servicing table. Felt plain stingy. Example 2: No regular coffee in jug at the serving table. I asked. There were approx. 25 covers at that point. Suggestion: As you use vacuum flasks and the traffic is highly anticipatable - put 3 out! Example 3: Asked for a decaf. However, it was an undrinkable syrup - 3-4 times too much powder. I ask for a 'normal' decaf. This arrrived - made on machine in the bar, not in the kitchen. Suggestion: teach people to make coffee. Example 4: Asked for salmon and toast. This had 'finished.' Suggestion: we were not late to breakfast at 9.30. Again, this felt stingly. Example 5: Asked for eggs benedict & order taken. 5 mins later told - 'sorry, only one muffin left and the others are still in the freezer. Can it be on another bread?' I said yes and had it on another bread. Suggestion: It take 2 mins to defrost a muffin. Example 6: Asked for tomato sauce. Waitress wanted to spoon it on to my plate for me. I said, 'I'll keep the bowl please and serve myself.' Again, unneccessary penny-pinching - although she was trying to help. To sum up. Great place - but try to fix this breakfast stuff as it is really very basic. I wish you all the best.

A real gem!

We originally booked in for one night but ended up extending to 5 nights due to a family emergency. What was a stressful week was made much easier staying at this lovely hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and light (we stayed in the Classic). The bar area was great for a quiet place to read and have a coffee or a pre dinner drink. And don’t miss the restaurant. The food is innovative and delicious. A really pleasant surprise. There is good parking (and ev chargers which was helpful) Easy walk into town but nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle.

Bed was comfortable, shower had a good flow and was nice and hot. Fresh milk in the room for tea and coffee.

Breakfast was great but let down by 2 minor things - the toast was barely toasted and the tea was cold by the time the cooked breakfast arrived. I'm sure the staff would have put this right had I asked, but they were so busy, I thought by the time they sorted that out my full English would be cold so I didn't bother

A fabulous hotel for a celebratory weekend.

We have just spent a weekend at The Green House to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. There was a lovely surprise in our room. The room was a good size with a comfy bed. Soft towels and toiletries are provided in the bathroom. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar on Friday, which we enjoyed, and breakfast was great on both mornings. Self-service cereals, yoghurt and pastries and a cooked breakfast to order. Fresh milk was available from Reception for tea and coffee in the room. Bottles of still and sparkling water were replaced in our room too.

The TV is rather small, as mentioned in other reviews. However, we didn't go to Bournemouth to watch TV. We could hear the guests above us at 3 a.m. That was not the fault of the hotel though, just noisy guests.

It was pleasant

That the rooms were on separate floors, i appreciate is is a period property but there were lot of creaking floorboards and in our en-suite there were some loose floor tiles.

Good hotel, good value, would stay again!

The hotel is well decorated and finished, it feels as though it has been recently re-furbished to a high standard. Our room was very large and well furnished with a modern open bathroom and walk in shower at one end and a closed w.c./washbasin at the other. The bed was also very large and extremely comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant.

The bedside lamps were both controlled by a single switch which meant it wasn't possible for one of us to read while the other slept. I wasn't anticipating having to pay for parking in the hotel car park overnight, and was disappointed that it cost £10! The hotel is good but other public buildings in the road are a bit run down/derelict but don't let that put you off!
