Hotel Portón de la Cabrera

Excellent location.

Super disappointed with the caliber of the hotel and price. Bathrooms were awful. Shower didn’t work. It was a whole process to get the hot water. It should not be that way for the quality of hotel they are presenting. Oh and there was a short with the lights in our bedroom. I really could not understand what was all that.

Everything was very good, professional, polite. The breakfast room is gorgeous. Food very good quality.

I am a picky person but I actually cannot think of what could have been better. It is a gem in an excellent location, an oasis.

Amazing shower, bedding and facilities to relax in the room. The entrance and lounge area with the fire was lovely. Hairdryer and soaps for use in the bathroom great. Breakfast was fine.

We were disappointed by the professionalism of the staff. We were called twice by reception to do the check in and had to pay an extra fee that has been able to be avoided everywhere else we have stayed since. The cleaning staff were really loud in the hall and it felt as if they were shouting right outside the door. There was confusion amongst staff about if we had checked out (we hadn’t) and the cleaning staff came into the room without knocking. After sending emails to try to rectify an issue with paying the tax they have not replied. Very unhelpful and not in line with the service we have received in much cheaper places around Colombia.
