Gayana Marine Resort

I spent a 3-4 night stay at Gayana Marine Resort and I can say, without exaggeration, that it was a more than sensational experience. The overwater villa is simply wonderful and extremely clean. It is very well furnished, with all the comfort you need, and the air conditioning works perfectly — it cools the room efficiently, without blowing directly on you and without making you feel cold. The real highlight is the balcony: from there you can step straight into the water and go snorkeling whenever you wish. It is something truly unique to wake up with the sea at your feet and slip straight into it. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help you with anything, at any time. You feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of throughout your entire stay. Although it is a resort where, essentially, there is not much to do, that is exactly what makes it so relaxing. You have a swimming pool, a restaurant, and you can rent stand-up paddle boards and kayaks free of charge. You can also go diving, for those passionate about underwater life. The area is sensational — you have the jungle right behind you, and the evenings and nights are extremely peaceful and cool, perfect for unwinding. The breakfast is good, served a la carte, quite filling, although not very diverse and varied. Personally, it was enough to start the day well. A 3-4 night stay is more than sensational. I warmly recommend Gayana Marine Resort to anyone looking for authentic relaxation, nature, and direct contact with the sea.

As a negative point — although some may actually consider this an advantage, for disconnecting — there is no Wi-Fi in the room. This could be an inconvenience for those who wish to work remotely or browse the internet in the privacy of their room. Also, the tap water in the room is not drinkable, but the reception provides free water to all guests, so it is not a real issue.

Polite staff, comfortable rooms, excellent pool and joyous touch tank.

WiFi was only available in the restaurant and lobby, rubbish in the sea and mangroves and limited options and inconsistent treatment for those which allergens.

January brings the monsoon and muddy water with rubbish. Very few guests.
