The breakfast was fantastic, staff were very friendly and helpful also. I really enjoyed the location which was quiet and close to the Rhine but also 5 minutes walk to the metro station which was well connected to the rest of Cologne.
I wish there was hand washing soap provided in the rooms

I found the dorms to be good and matched expectations. Breakfast was also good. Overall, it was comfortable and a good place to sleep for the night. The location is okay, but if you plan to spend most of your time in the city centre (Koeln Hbf/Cathedral) than it is farther away. But it is near the train station so it is still convenient to travel, you might just need to plan ahead for train routes.
Unfortunately, my floor was flooded with teens and children who were very loud and harrassing me as I was going to my room (which isn't fun when you're a solo female traveller lol). The noise continued into the night (past 11 PM) which made it difficult to sleep. Other hostels I've stayed in usually have quiet hours in place or some sort of regulation to allow for socializing while still keeping it respectful for other guests but that didn't seem to be the case here.
