Pleasant, spacious location with friendly staff and free parking!

Generous-sized rooms, friendly staff and a comfortable terrace make this a very pleasant hotel indeed! Located in what appears to be a refurbished barn/stable/ farming complex from the 18th century, this site should not be confused with the actual “castle” which hosts the property’s restaurant, also worth a try.

Many reviews complained about outdated, chintzy furnishings in the rooms. There is no denying that a refurbishing would certainly freshen up the place, but it did not take anything away from our stay

Amazing location and great staff

Beautiful location and the staff were so helpful with suggestion on where to eat. Breakfast and dinner on site were fantastic and the bar had a great selection of drinks

We booked 4 rooms all at the same price. While all a little dated there were very comfortable and clean. We did however get room that were all different. One was beautiful with doors onto the courtyard. Another could access the courtyard but the other 2 were relatively small.

Good experience in a great location

Excellent location, quiet and still close to main roads taking you to Germany and other places in The Netherlands. Room size is sufficient and ample car parking space available.

Breakfast was sparse both in choices as in speed of refilling. An elevator would be great to reach the first and second floor, especially when carrying luggage

warm and uncomfortable… the restaurant was just plain miserable - half cooked food, extremely over-salted… when not ordering a new drink after the main course we got immediately presented with the bill - apparently we did not deserve a dessert or a coffee

The pictures where a bit misleading as one would expect a castle style hotel. The castle in fact is across the street and very imposing indeed. This is actually the venue where you would eat lunch and dinner as a hotel guest. The rooms are quite aged already and so was the bed.

Extremely pleasant hotel in beautiful surroundings

The hotel is very cozy. Rooms are large and comfortably furnished. The sanitary ware in the bathrooms is new. In-room coffeemakers are available and coffee is refilled every day. Room 62 has a sunny balcony. Room 61 has 2 sinks. Room 57 has a very large extra floor, 2 TVs and comfortable chairs and sofas. Breakfast was good and adequate. The hotel restaurant is in a separate - beautiful and historical - house. Make a restaurant reservation upon arrival or even before this.

There were some service problems during breakfast rush hour. There could be more fresh salad at breaksfast. The hotel restaurant location was not known until it was time to be at resturant. Make sure you book your restaurant visit in advance.

Hotel is a beautiful old farm with nice rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. In the castle a restaurant. Located near the centre of Kerkrade and the Gaia Zoo.

Not everything was available in the room (TV did not work, no non-disturbing sign, plastic glasses were removed but not replaced).
