No hot water for showers on the Sat morning, full English breakfast looked very nice but had no taste at, so bad we didn’t even bother having breakfast on our second morning :(

Easy car park, good location, good bus access. Clean, curteous and we would stay again.

Easy transport links to city centre and we were able to leave our car in their car park for a small fee (but cheaper than city centre car parks) after checking out to give us another day in the town. Breakfast very nice, plentiful and quick curteous service. We could open the bedroom window ... many hotels dont allow this and the rooms are too hot. St andrews was a lovely temperature.

Not much to see out if the window but that is being very picky! We were out most of the time.

Has Everything you Need at a Good Price

Very clean, excellent beds, good breakfast, onsite parking.

The road outside is very busy and can be noisy with the windows open - but I would assume the same can be said of any hotel close to the centre of Exeter with its own parking. The staff did not present as friendly (though not unfriendly) but we're responsive and efficient.

Great value and location

Good value stay with parking and breakfast included. The hotel’s in a great spot, close to the city centre, and the full English breakfast was really nice. Room and facilities were good enough for a short break.

Some breakfast items weren’t as hot as I’d have liked, and the room was a bit compact. It can also be noisy as the hotel is next to a busy road, but overall it was still good value for the price.

Would stay again without hesitation

The room was a very good size and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows, just right. We liked the table and chairs in the room and a decent TV. The wide opening window in the bathroom allowed us to ventilate the room which was warm, but radiators were easy to control. Good sized bath towels! Friendly receotion on arrival.

Road was fairly noisy.. Parking, when returning late, was scarce. We got the last space, so supposedly there's enough for the amount of rooms, but I don't know. Breakfast staff were very efficient but not overly friendly. A bottle of water in the room would've been appreciated. A lamp on dressing table would have been useful

Breakfast was lovely, the waiting staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was comfortable but a little too warm but was ok once the window was open

The parking was all taken. I had to squeeze into a tiny spot. My door (room 10 a single room) was by a door on the stairs. Every time someone went through the door it woke me. Shower was good but dated... Could do with a refresh.

Breakfast is excellent, pleasant attentive staff and the hotel is clean and tidy

Unfortunately the kitchen extractor was located next to the window in the room, at 6 o’clock in the morning every day this is started up and the noise is very loud The bathroom is clean, but the shower fluctuates between cold and very hot and the water pressure is poor

Didn’t stay. My husband got attacked at 11.45am during the day by drug users so we had to leave

Absolutely nothing the hotel is on the main road with local drug users hanging around half naked and also people masked up

Everything the area is very unsafe. Drug users half naked people illegal immigrants riding on bikes. Very very scary

A small and friendly hotel ideal for a well priced stopover for business or leisure.

Friendly and helpful staff. A small but nice single room with a comfortable bed ideal for a stopover at a very good price. I’m very pleased to have found St Andrews Hotel, which is only 10 minutes walk from the quayside area and was so convenient for my visit to Exeter.

Could be good but spoilt by poor maintenance.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good.

The cord for the window blind snapped open at a join too high for me to repair so I was in blackout from the evening onwards. The shower had to be handheld as the wall mounting was broken and presumably had been when the room was cleaned. Both problems could so easily be remedied by a competent handyman.

It was very clean and well situated.

There is no lift so accessing the first and second floors with heavy luggage was a bit difficult. There is no air conditioning but there are fans supplied in the rooms.
