Great staff, lovely stay.
Have stayed here before and this time the food was much better. Staff were great and couldn’t do enough for you.

Relaxing location
Lovely location near waterside, and within easy reach of Stamford rooms spacious and comfortable, very nice evening meal
Rooms a little 'tired' and continental breakfast requires improvement very limited choice

Overall a good stay
Our room was really lovely and spacious, and clean and comfortable. The setting was lovely.
The bar area was very small, and some of the staff were a little abrupt. Would prefer a slightly later check-out time, we like a lie in!

Perfect relaxing location and plesant staff, rooms in desperate need of updating and TLC.
The location of the hotel, very quiet and peaceful atmosphere
No window to open in the room, rooms needing updating & TLC, the noise created by the plumbing system, rooms also needing extra due care with housekeeping, more tea and coffee facilities needed.

The hotel is orientated at a sensible place in the market which makes it good value for money but it would benefit soon from redecoration (not a dramatic change, just some fresh paint!) and in general the premises would benefit from a thorough ‘spring clean’ / freshen up…..ideal for this time of year before things get busier in the spring

More or less exactly what we wanted.
The location at the edge of the lake with Stamford and Oakham within easy reach is excellent. The room was small and minimalist but comfy for a short stay. Continental breakfast was fine in a pleasant space with lake views.
Room was a tad boring.
