Rooms were immaculate, bar downstairs was an added bonus. Great atmosphere around from a lot of people staying there after the World Club Challenge. Great place, will definitely return!

The gym and the pool are great. It's also nice to have the bar & grill on-site. The room was well equipped and very clean.
The bed for the double room was 2 twin beds pushed together and was uncomfortable. It should definitely be a double mattress and not 2 twin beds pushed together. Sleeping with a seam in the middle is ridiculous.

The location and the pool
A number of things. I upgraded to a club room. Which, apart from giving access to the gym and pool seemed to give me a huge room with no space to do anything! By comparison even a Travelodge for £29 gives a sofa and a desk! The desk in the room is over taken with a huge tv and a coffee machine. A coffee machine with no milk! Furthermore, since I last stayed in a village hotel the breakfast has become diabolical! On what planet can’t even the KP knock up real scrambled eggs and fried eggs? Packet scrambled eggs is just disgusting! Especially at over £100 a night! Lastly, football is bollocks! There’s 6 screens in the bar and in the evening every one of them was playing football and the volume was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think! Not everyone gives a toss about football! If you’re playing sports, have a selection, ice hockey, rugby, motor sports, athletics, there’s sports on sky from around the world, put a different one on each tv! For this reason I went out to find food! Not eat in! These are all very simple and basic considerations but the biggest one for me is the breakfast quality! When the village is being outdone on breakfast! Come on! Fry and scramble fresh eggs! Even McDonald’s cook their eggs fresh!!

Location & price.
Having works completed during the night when I stayed so no water from 11pm to 4am and some drilling can be heard during the night. Staff didn’t seem bothered when I mentioned it.

Your staff are really pleasant and friendly and I see them as your main asset. Also the room was comfortable and very clean.
I am a vegetarian and found the menu for vegetarian in the bar/grill was very boring, so I ate elsewhere. Also the bar was quite noisy. I can see how it appeals to people using the sports facilities but the ambience is not great for people after a long journey who want to relax and have a quiet meal.

Very big, spacious and clean, lots of facilities , very good for my son who is a wheelchair user great location with plenty of parking . Extremely friendly and helpful staff, sorted out an accessibility issue regards to fire evacuation (which thankfully didn’t happen) and went out of their way to be helpful and considerate of additional needs .
There’s nothing not to like !

Good value for money. In a day and age where many hotels feel that they have a right to charge 'London prices' for accommodation, using the coat of living crisis for doing so, it was refreshing to see a realistically priced hotel.
The rooms were a decent size, clean and with a good sized bed and bathroom.
Friendly and helpful staff, and with a well equipped gym, and a pub, it offered amenities that would suit most people's needs.
What I also thought was a good unique feature, was the WiFi.
How many times do you go to a hotel/accommodation and have to either hunt around for where the passwords written down, or ask at reception, like you're a secret agent getting your next assignment.
Here we got to our rooms and logged on and we were connected straight away.
How simple and refreshing is that.
There was nothing that I didn't like. One of the small things we raised that could have been done better was to provide a place to hang your towels in the bathroom.

The upgraded rooms are lovely. The bed was very comfortable.
The bar for dinner was really noisy. Everybody seemed to be shouting to be heard, yet there wasn't any background music etc, so must be acoustics?

Breakfast staff were extremely friendly and pleasant and the coffee was good. The walk-in shower was excellent.
Late check out was nice to have.
Check in was slow as one staff member was on the counter and I had to wait after a v.long journey.
Communal areas smelt unpleasant, as did the room -- although everything looked clean. The room was very small for the price.
The breakfast was an all you can eat buffet. However I would have preferred quality over quantity - the sausages were economy, the bread and little stale, the bacon dry.

Arriving at midnight the staff were very friendly & helpful. They went out of their way to ensure my safety as a disabled person with limited mobility. Just as well because at 3am there was a fire alarm activation. It's debatable whether the procedures worked well . Just good that it was a false alarm. Breakfast was average but ok. The staff again were great. I didn't use any other facilities as it was an early kick off at Hull City ( Thank you for nothing Sky) The room was big, the bed was huge and apart from me making an emergency TV repair after midnight, the facilities were excellent.
I seemed to have paid £5 more than my friends by booking a breakfast in advance. The TV not working & the way that the fire alarm was dealt with, although the staff did their best, if that hD been a real incident there would have been problems

Staff were superb.Ian in the bar super helpful. Busy with a wedding but made time for us and is a credit to the hotel. Also staff at breakfast led by Lynsey (hope spelt right )was really good. The staff are great and made the stay all the better for us both.
The toilet seat in our room was missing the rubber blocks and clattered against the pan, also 2 of the 4 screws were missing making it loose and uncomfortable. Otherwise perfect accommodation.

The staff where very friendly and helpful
The room wasn’t that clean.
The restaurant was very expensive and they mucked up the order giving meat for a vegetarian option and then had to wait for over 20 minutes whilst everyone else ate their’s and didn’t get a refund for difference in price. The staff were very nice and apologised a lot.

The breakfast was disgusting. The bacon was cold and hard scrambled eggs was like water. The sausage had no taste when we complained they didn’t do nothing about it and it was £17 per head me and my friend and my other two friends was not happy at all with the breakfast, very bad.
Given us our money back would’ve been better cause breakfast was disgusting
