Grand Hôtel De Paris

The staff was very kind and helpful throughout the stay. The location was very good, very close to the metro and the bus station, which made getting around very easy.

The breakfast was very poor and did not change at all during the stay it was the same every day, with only some tomatoes, cucumbers, and 3 types of meat (prosciutto and salami). The room was not as shown in the photos; it was quite old and not as nice as presented. The floor was not level, but slanted. Also, the neighborhood did not feel very safe and was a bit noisy at night.

The location of the hotel was really good - 10 minutes from the Gare Du Nord and about 2 minutes away from the Gare de l'Est. Plenty of restaurants and shops around. The welcome was nice and the Reception staff were friendly. Originally we had been put in a room where the electrics were hanging off of the wall, tiles missing in the shower tray and the bathroom door not closing properly. We asked for our room to be changed and the next room was so lovely, bigger with a separate bathroom and the door closed. Added bonus! You have to put your keys in when you leave the hotel and if you're out after 9pm, you'll need to ring the doorbell to get back in.

As stated above, electrics hanging off of the wall is not acceptable and they had the smallest lift I had ever been in. Room for two people with suitcases on top of each other, a bit of a squash. The breakfast was a little bit limited but we had a flight to catch so this didn't really matter.

everything was very basic but comfortable, clean and the staff was helpful and courteous. breakfast was adequate. it is just under 10 minutes walk from gare du nord which is just enough to be quieter that closer to the gare du nord.

kettle would have been useful

Next to the train station and local amenities. Bed was comfortable. Check-in was easy and they looked after your key when you left.

Very grubby and dirty room. Shower wasn't really fit for purpose. Laundry being chucked down the stairs at four in the morning. Room rate was high in comparison to the product.
