This is a very good hotel with excellent staff but I am afraid it’s Achilles he’ll is the seating upholstery in the dining room. A synthetic seat covering suitable for hand cleaning should be considered as an alternative to the current highly stained fabric.

Quiet location, clean and comfortable room with seating, comfortable bed and bathroom . Plentiful car parking

Walls are thin and some noise from the room next door on a couple of evenings , otherwise nothing.

Quick check in, room was as expected, breakfast was lovely.

The place looks closed down from the roadside and the bar area is tiny with not enough seating, only 2 staff members on for am almost full hotel.

View from the room was pleasant

Catfished by this hotel. It is soooo ugly! Bed was quite uncomfortable. Room was not very clean - biscuit package and Qtips found on floor. Breakfast disappointing.

Lovely decorated room. Spacious, with great views of the golf course. Food options for evening meal were very good. Breakfast was brilliant. Excellent choice of continental food and hot.

Perhaps some music playing in the background in the evening at the restaurant as the mood was a little sterile.

Decent hotel for one or two nights but needs bringing into the 21st century.

It was in a good location for my needs and there was ample parking. Staff were very friendly.

The hotel is a bit tired and could do with a couple of extra facilities. Having to stand in a bath and close a somewhat stained shower curtain. The only socket next to the bed is a small 5amp socket. No USB charger sockets in the room. The restaurant was closed.

The restaurant food was very nice & the guy who checked us in at reception & the bar/waiting on guys were very pleasant.

The bar & restaurant areas were so so cold, very uncomfortable. Was disappointed with not having no hot water in the morning & I myself got a hot shower on the evening, but no hot shower for my husband afterwards. As we checked out , I mentioned this to the lady on reception, but it didn't seem much of a suprise to her.

1st time weve been disappointed

We have stayed many times, the rooms are large, nicely decorated, beds are comfy, staff are friendly and helpful, but this stay the hotel was just too cold

On this one occasion (we have stayed many times) the whole hotel was very cold. We couldn't sit and have a drink in the bar, it was too cold. The staff were doing their best, but either the heating was broken or it was turned down too low. No way could we sit and have breakfast in such a cold room. The bedroom was way too cold, the one radiator only lukewarm, the receptionist kindly gave us an electric heater but it just wasn't sufficient for the size of the room. The 2nd night we requested another duvet as one wasnt enough. This is the 1st time weve ever had any problem with this hotel. We stay every year sometimes twice while visiting family and its always previously been 100%, so even though we got a good price, it made our stay quite uncomfortable

Lovely 🤗

Loved my stay, in Grimsby for 3 days to visit family for Christmas, had a very chilled time, staff were all fabulous and my Dad and I enjoyed a very nice and superbly served Christmas Day lunch. Everything was just as it should be 😊 Thank you Humber Royal for a wonderful few days

Very nice hotel to stay at, only down fall was the bed. OK for one or two nights.

I was well impressed with the hotel, staff were exceptional, helpful and friendly. Nice clean and tidy rooms, good quite location with plenty of free parking. Bar prices reasonable and dining area of good standard

The bed left a lot to be desired. The rating I gave would have been excellent but for this. The mattress appeared to be old and a topper on it wasn't much better either

Super! The location, room, staff, comfort and price were all ideal.

This is not the best hotel in the world and it's not 5 star, but I have stayed in 5 star hotels that are only as good as this. There is nothing wrong with the Humber Royal at all, it is perfectly acceptable, warm and comfortable. The price is excellent too. The acid test - would I stay again? Yes I will do.

The lift is a bit slow. Also, some large potholes growing in the car park.

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming.

It was so cold in the restaurant and reception areas. We had a meal on the Saturday night and it was so cold in the restaurant it spoilt the experience. The breakfast the following morning was disappointing. The egg was solid and the bacon was so hard and tough you couldn’t eat it. We could get TV channels in the room as WiFi wasn’t working.

The building looked like a Soviet Tower Block. Pillows were uncomfortable. Room was cold with no way to increase temperature. Bathroom heated towel rail did not work. Power failure one night.

Everything was old and broken in the hotel and rooms. The bathtub was leaking, the lift was broken the carpets in corridors and stairs was so dirty.

In all the hotel is great mislead about the continental breakfast me and my partner had 2 rounds of toast each and 1 tea

Good night's sleep!

Spacious room was shocked considering the price of the room, booked last minute had called ahead and spoke to a very friendly receptionist. Explained the lift was out of order, had arranged first floor room. The TV ariel was broken, and it was sorted very quickly.

A little more sugar/ milk in the room, but that was the only negative.

I have visited several times and appreciate ease of access, plentiful parking space, clean spacious rooms and general ambience. There was an issue with the lift, (which I must use) which was very expeditiously dealt with.

Not everything worked - TV in first room, second room found out too late no hot water for a shower. Four flights to climb as lift broken and no info on how to contact reception - so had the 4 flights to do again.
