This hotel met all of my needs, I wamted a lost cost onenight stay city center near the train station, ticked all the boxes. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, mine was at the backof the property so quiet as well. Bar was well stocked for a small budget hotel anbd breakfast was good. It is literally 1 minute walk from Temple Meads station and 5 mins into the city.

Staff very helpful. We requested a twin room and this request was met when it became available.
Nothing was too much trouble and all staff were nice to us. Breakfast very good.
Little storage space in the rooms.

Location
4 of the 5 staff we encountered were brilliant
In fact I extended my trip an extra night as location and cost was spot on
Somesh on the night shit was amazing shame about his bully co worker
I was unceremoniously removed by the police.
My boyfriend got back to the hotel before me as I went to get food.
He was in the bar waiting and I went back to the room put my phone on charge which in turn blew all the electrics in the room. Annoyed and frustrated, I rang my boyfriend to come to the room and help me sort this out.
The bar manager then followed up shortly after and stated we were smoking in the room which simply wasn't the case but then in turn said I had to pay a 250 pound charge to stay. Due to it being late I was willing to do this rather than be out looking for somewhere else to stay early hours of the morning, but asked if he could give me 10 mins to get appropriately dressed and get my purse (I was in my nightdress at the time). As I came to reception with my card profusely apologising for any issue he felt we had caused and ready to pay ..the man was already on the phone to the police (who were amazing and even agreed there was no smell of smoke in the room)
I was and probably still am traumatised by the ordeal and was incredibly upset by it all.
Needless to say we were turfed out on unfounded grounds of smoking (i dont smoke never have or ever will) and as I didn't have time to pack and check I had everything, I left one of my £180 boots there and a £45 hat that allegedly now cannot be found
I have stayed in many holiday inns and always had above adequate service..it is a shame that one individual has now ensured I will never stay or anyone I know , will ever stay in their stablishments again.

Tired looking building but once inside, staff very friendly and welcoming. Great location for an overnight stay if you want to be not far from station. Breakfast good.
Plumbing not great. Tap wobbly in bedroom, tricky to use, shower had not much pressure.,

The staff member who greeted me was exceptional. Warm and friendly, a great welcome after a difficult train journey to Temple Meads only to find out the last train had already gone. Everything was clean and my room was just what I needed.

Excellent staff, clean throughout, comfy bed with firm pillows, lovely breakfast included, good value for the money
Parked in hotel carpark before checking in but then had to return to car to put ticket on the windscreen. Surely you could collect ticket upon entering the carpark.

Great location, right by Temple meads train station. The staff were super friendly, very knowledgeable, explained about the hotel, breakfast times etc. We were issued with our car pass for the carpark behind the carpark for £13 for 24 hours. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, basic English breakfast, would've loved mushrooms as an option but there were plenty of other foods, cereal, granola, fresh fruit, juices, toast, coffee machine. The room was basic and clean, the soaps, shower gel and shampoo were all the Dove brand which was pleasant. I'd happily stay again. I was only there for a concert but wished I stayed two nights and explored Bristol more.
Nothing that I didn't like. I stayed on the 5th floor, there was secondary glazing but you could still hear the traffic and the odd emergency vehicle but when you stay on a main road you can expect that, if you don't mind not having a view opt for a room at the rear of the hotel.

The breakfast was good. I appreciated getting a 'grab bag' on a previous stay when I had a very early start.
The bedroom was cool and took time to warm up.

Reception ladies were lovely and smiley. Maybe it’s because im good looking but either way. I know that I felt the service to be warm and welcoming. Thanks team!
Didn’t cater to the Jews, Rastafarians or Muslims when it came to the meat options at breakfast. It’s all about equality these days!

Location fantastic for music venue Thekla.
We expected some noise with a city centre hotel, however the traffic was louder than anticipated.
Breakfast was free - very average.

Great location for me

Breakfast was okay
The 2 am fire alarm waking every one on the floor up, no member of staff being available to confirm why it was going off and waking up to a letter shoved under my door trying to essentially discourage me from trying to get compensation. Also, why not have streaming options for people to connect their own accounts.

Absolutely the best budget hotel experience ever! Spotless room and bathroom, latter recently refurbished to a high standard. Very friendly staff who were genuinely helpful. Comprehensive cooked and cold breakfast all included in the price. Perfect location 1 min walk from train station and buses. Tremendous value, will definitely stay there in future visit to Bristol!

The hotel is quite busy but once inside is really quiet and relaxing. The staff are very attentive and helpful plus the room are spotless and well maintained with little noise from the surrounding guests. The free breakfast is really very good and has a wide range of options and freshly cooked hot items. Ideally placed for access to Bristol Temple Meads Station and the bus to airport it is a real find and my only advice is, perhaps, to ask for a rear facing room as these are really quiet. The harbour is just a gentle 10 minutes stroll too.
Nothing comes to mind.

If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel near Bristol Temple Meads Station with clean rooms, and included breakfast, the Holiday Inn Express Bristol City Centre is a strong option—especially if you’re budgeting. However, if modern decor, soundproofing, or upgraded facilities matter to you, you may want to explore other alternatives or request quieter, higher-floor rooms when booking.
We just spend the night because we were going to the airport and the bus it was just crossing the street
Staff is not very friendly, as we leave at 3am we didn’t have breakfast ( we knew it and it was ok) but in Holiday Inn Express Birmingham City centre they offer us coffee to take away and some croissants

Easy to find, right near the train station
Comfy bed and pillows
Great breakfast
The rooms are dated
Not enough plug sockets in the room, only 1 double socket
We could hear outside noise from cars
Our friends had a room situated at the front which they said was very noisy
Room quite hot during the night made it difficult to sleep

Fantastic location right opposite the train station, clean comfortable room and very quiet, good air con, good to have an iron and ironing board in the room,Breakfast was help yourself buffet style which was very good,we arrived at 8.30 am,knowing check in wasn't till 3pm,but we're allowed to leave our bags in a secure area so didn't have to keep them with us whilst we enjoyed our day,was able to do the same the following day until we caught our train home.
Nothing negative to report.
