Absolutely awful!

Arrived at the hotel when it had been snowing and it was minus 6 outside, to find that the heating in the room didn't work! Went back to reception, who didn't seem to care and after waiting for a while, abandoned the room and left the hotel, went up the road to another chain for the night. Not a good experience at all and this Campanile should be avoided. We had stayed two other Campaniles during our trip, and others previously, but this was the worst experience we have ever had.

Should be cheaper

Person in the afternoon and night shift. Room for 2 persons.

Room for 4 persons is too small, no space for luggages and even to move around to reach the beds. The only person in the early morning shift can't speak english and has too many things to handle with breakfasts and checkouts, definitely very stressed and not gentle at all. It was almost impossible to do the checkout before 7am (when we needed to leave at 6:45) although the lady was there preparing for breakfast time (from 7am).

Easy access on way to Alps. Usual campanile rooms Think Travelodge- 2 but great value for money in France do you can’t complain

Rooms are simple but comfy.

Receptionist nearly made me pay twice for the room..Once with booking.com and once at the Hotel! In fact she only wanted me to pay extra 1€ for the overnight tax. This should be detailed in the booking that you may be asked for more! Room was very cold despite temps going down to 4° last night.

We were a bit disappointed my daughter forgot her jacket there, we emailed them straight away, but they never text or called back. We called them many times a lady pick up the phone saying no English. Well what can we do now.

A basic no frill room but a good value overnight stay.

Nice size room ( we were given a family room) and bathroom with plenty of towels. Kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Good choice of things for breakfast .

Our room was round the back which meant it was dark , felt a bit oppressive.I’m sure if we’d had one overlooking the front it would have had a much better ambiance. The room was basic and a little tired.

As usual, the Campanile at Pontarlier met my expectations

we usually use Campanile in Pontarlier as a stopping point going to Switzerland and Italy from Belgium. We like it because it is reasonably priced and the rooms are larger that the ones at other economy hotels.

snow had fallen a few days before and access was therefore more difficult.
