overall not a bad stay, just a little more attention to detail and a review on price policy

Room ready earlier than stated. Lots of milk tea and coffee. Iron and ironing board supplied. Bedding clean and bathroom well stocked with towels, shampoo and body wash

lots of dust in tea strorage box, windows and windows sills very grubby. only 5 coathangers. went for meal downstairs in the bar, tables strewn with glasses and remants of previous meals. lots of tables marked as reserved when people had obviously been and gone. Prices for food and drink way above normal for what is essential standard pub fair. £30 for a mixed grill and nearly £20 for a salmon and rice dish. Please look at this as for the price of the room I expected more reasonable prices in the bar.

Didn’t clean the room unless you asked Frustrating because the card telling you wasn’t in a good spot Also tea drinkers wouldn’t like the minuscule cups. Might be ok for coffee No good for tea

Food was nice

We were woken up at 8:30am by banging/drilling above us and building work, which is not what you expect when you pay for a hotel and we should have been told before hand otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed. Not a nice way to be woken up. Also we were in a disabled room which we didn’t need and the bathroom wasn’t in the best condition or very clean and made us uncomfortable. Toilet flush also wasn’t working great.

Staff were lovely and always offered help. The bed was super comfy and the shower had great water pressure.

There was black mold on the windowsill, probably due to the extractor fan not working in the bathroom. We also found a used plaster on the floor.

That I actually had a room when I got there.

Room was small, I requested a bath and got a shower, the half-wit on the non-existent reception (whom I had to find) though she was so good looking that she just grunted and shrugged in reply to my questions. Facilities, pool, gym all extra and extortionate pricing. Used to be free if staying there.

My room 217 smelled of smoke, was cold, the radiator didn't work, the headboard was broken and iron was next to useless. I don't normally leave a bad review but I expect better from a Village hotel. This was tired, poor, smelly and generally not a pleasant stay.

The location was perfect and it was comfortable

On arrival we could not find our name on the booking machine and had to wait a while as the guy who we initially spoke with was new and he wasn’t sure how he checked us in on the main computer, so we had to wait for a young girl to turn up. We were not advised about how we could use the facilities and we didn’t get an information about breakfasts. The room we got given smelt of cigarette smoke and the chair had food on it I wasn’t impressed as I had to get ready for my works Christmas party, my husband called reception and they managed to move us to another room which smelt clean but the duvet cover had a dirty mark on it. The bathroom mirrors had smear marks too.

Definitely stay again

Free parking at weekends although big, the carpark was extremely busy. Lots of food options but if you want to eat in the restaurant book in advance!! There is room service with a big choice of things but didn't use this as had plans elsewhere. Very clean room. Appeared to be a lot of entertainment amongst other things available like a gym etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Signage for parking could have been clearer-we had to ask at reception. Lighting was fine but slightly odd. No ceiling light, just a few lamps. We went when there was a big storm which caused a big part of the carpark to get flooded but obviously not the hotel's fault

Bed in the room was huge and super comfortable. Bed sheets were spotless pillows were perfect

The room was very tired and grubby. When I walked in the door it smelt like stale sick and like someone had cleaned the surfaces with a dirty dish cloth. Even the towels smelt musty. The dressing table chair was filthy and covered in long blonde hairs and marks where ‘something’ had been wiped on the seat. I didn’t use the shower because it looked very grimey and I didn’t want to use the towels.

Great location with lots of positives but the rooms need refurbishing

Location to University of Warwick and close to shops and supermarkets. Leisure facilities had good opening hours. Starbucks in the reception area was a bonus. Good size car park. Great to have the option of a coffee maker and a kettle. Bonus to have Two fans to choose Between.

The club room was shabby, in need of refurbishment and very dusty. The bathroom only had a shower, luckily we didn’t need the bath. The bottom of the bathroom door was badly damaged. The shower tray was badly stained with black mould on grout, although it had been cleaned.

The location was a bit tricky, as we had to travel on the other side of Coventry Arena and this could take up to 20 minutes during busy traffic time. The

Great atmosphere

Staff on arrival were excellent, very welcoming and funny and able to answer all questions. I was even rewarded a voucher for being 'guest of the day' which was a little extra treat. Location was also excellent to a venue i had an event at.

I'd stay here again

This was my first stay in a Village Hotel and it was pleasantly surprising. A lively downstairs sports bar area, a clean & well-presented room (with the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in), great shower and very good breakfast. Never did get to the pool. We stayed one night for an event at nearly Warwick Arts Centre, so the location was very convenient. I'd stay here again and would recommend it.
