Not suitable in cold months

It was very quiet.

The rooms are far away from the main building, reception and the restaurant. Our room was cold, there is only a heater close to the door. We had to sleep with 4 blankets, but none of these blankets had a duvet cover. The first bed cover was dirty with a drop of dried out blood. There is no coffee machine or electric kettle in the room to even fill up my hot water bottle. It was very disappointing that we drove all the way to Italy to drink an instant coffee in the reception. The road to our room was very bad, there were some broken wood floors and you had to make sure not to fall in. The restaurant is far and you had to take the car to get there in cold foggy weather. There was barely any lights in this road to the restaurant. The property is about 20 minutes from the main road, even with the extra information from the hotel it was difficult to find it. We had to leave 3 days earlier due to the inconvenient situation.

There are only good things to say about Il Bagnolo. The views are outstanding. The drive to the hotel is a little challenging, but once you get there the views will take your breath about. The family who run the place is so friend. From the breakfast service to the beautiful dinners with amazing home cooked food. The surroundings around the pool is amazing and the view is one again spectacular. Beautiful big rooms with nice bathrooms.

Incredible peaceful location on top of the mountains. The family Gnes makes you feel at home. Staying in the pool, with a view over the valley is amazing.

Swimming pool very small, rooms old and they didn’t let us enjoy the swimming pool the day we left. Instead they asked for €50 more which we didn’t pay. Not worth for money

Not ideal for someone who doesn't drive. This should be made clear on the hotel ' s website.

This hotel is more than 8 kilometres from Salo centre, there is one main taxi company that takes people to the hotel. We had to wait for almost an hour for taxi when we first arrived. There is no other means of getting to the hotel if one doesn't drive. I paid for 5 nights but moved out after 2 nights.

The location and the hotel isn't value for money .

The room was quite nice. The staff were very helpful and the meals were wonderful. We arrived by bicycle and it is quite a climb from the lake!

Exceptional place, great accomodation, great food and the owners were amazing

The family who own his place are absolutely fabulous, so friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent. The views were spectacular, into the hills and forests from the apartment and pool and of lake Garda from the restaurant. It was extremely peaceful, great for a get away from it all break. The pool is wonderful

Booking. com did not mention that the restaurant is a 10 minute walk down hill from the apartments, therefore a 15minute walk back up, quite a steep walk. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties. I would say for most people a car is an essential. Not many people would arrive without a car as we did.

Eco Lodge has nice photos for rooms and location, but does not reflect reality. Bad and overpriced.

No basis, since we had to decide to skip after seeing the rooms.

Eco Lodge has very nice photos of rooms and location, but these do not reflect reality at all. We booked a nice looking four bed room but that had old furniture, was dark and did not correspond to the advertisement (photo, description of new rooms). To reach breakfast and dinner location you would have needed to take a car. We could not stand it and decided to leave, as an alternatively offered room was not cleaned and prepared. However, the owner was only willing to give us back our pass ports (which she has well taken before the visit of the rooms) if we paid 200 EUR. We had no choice. We sincerly believe this is close to fraud. A bad experience we have never had for many years. Be careful with this offer.

If you are looking for a quiet place, it is just for you. The owners are very helpful, kind, speaking very well English. We were at the old stone part at a very nice cosy room. The pool is in the modern building next to it. The restaurant is in the third building, 3-5 minutes to walk. The view is not at the lake, but at the hills, very nice sunset here from the pool. The wi-ffi is poor inside, better outside.

Location is perfect with an amazing view. The food at the restaurant was magnificient. Room was clean and the bed very comfortable. If you are looking for quiet get away place with an amazing views this is the place!

Wi-Fi was not working in our room, and hairdryer was poor. Breakfast could have been more plenty.

Unique Eco Lodge at Lake Garda

The rooms are spacious, clean and have a fantastic view on the valley, view on lake garda on the way to the restaurant (a few minutes walk from the room), pool is nice and has both an indoor and outdoor area. Restaurant offers delicious fresh food. Note: be aware that the Eco Lodge is a bit off the grid. However, if you enjoy a quiet surrounding in nature and being a little secluded its a great place to stay!

Disappointed.

Put the address into Google - you will never find it. Use the "find us" option on the Booking.com confimration and you will find it but be prepared for a challenging drive up from the shores of Lake Garda. Finally arrived at the main building, which really is in the middle of nowhere, to be advised that the restaurant was closed on Monday. It is usually closed on Tuesdays but this week, it would be Monday. After a very, very long drive this was not the news we had expected. We were really looking forwards to exploring the menu. Fortunately we had some limited provisions (energy bars and fruit) in the car. The room was nice. Nothing special - just nice. Parking was just outside but the accommodation is about 400m from the main building. Breakfast was at the main building and affords an outstanding view - truly impressive. Breakfast was OK.

The family running the agriturismo was very friendly, the food in the restaurant, made of products from local farm and based on old regional recipes was delicious and genuine. Everything that was explained to us by our host with a lot of attention and care and we loved the evenings spent in the restaurant. The place is a great hideaway from the crowd of tourists around the lake!

The rooms are very nice and clean, as is the pool area. There are great views everywhere, especially from the restaurant. The food was great and the staff very very friendly! They also made a lot of things themselves, like cake and cheeses at breakfast. Everybody is very helpful.

We loved everything about the accommodation. The only thing that didn’t work really well was the wifi connection. We didn’t mind that much, we were on a holiday anyway :)!

Perfect quiet getaway to discover lake Garda.

We loved our stay at the lodge, it is beautifully located in the hills above Salo. The direct surroundings are quiet and peaceful and great for hiking in the mountains and getting away from busy tourist towns near the Garda lake. We got a very warm welcome upon arrival and had an amazing dinner in the lodge's restaurant with foods produced at the lodge's farm. Mother and daughter were very cheerful and it shows that they love running the B&B. The breakfast in the morning was great and again with products from the farm. We would like to come back once the pool is finished ;)

Its just a little detail but the pillows were quite hard.

Beautiful location up in the hills. Fantastic views. All staff welcoming and helpful. A real retreat with amazing hiking routes available on the il bagnolo website. Lovely fresh food available for breakfast and dinner and very accomadating with one of our party being vegan. Would definitely recommend a stay here

Difficult to get to without a car which we knew beforehand. We got a taxi from salo for 27 euros. Getting around is no problem if you enjoy hiking

Dopo aver avvisato a metà pomeriggio che saremmo arrivati alle 22.30, abbiamo chiamato alle 23.00 per avvisare che - causa incidente - saremmo arrivati alle 23.30. L'hotel ci ha quindi risposto che era troppo tardi e non ci avrebbero ricevuti. Non mi era mai successo in tutta la mia vita.

Nuestra habitación era muy amplia y bonita y estaba muy limpia. Pero lo que más nos gustó fue la cocina: las cenas fueron excelentes, la mejor comida que probamos en la zona sin duda. Personal encantador
