We were in a room in a new wing of the property. HVAC system did not work for us but it might well have been that it was not activated yet for the season. this is an issue all over Europe when traveling during he change of seasons. Typically, in March or April the AC will not be operable, only the heating. But with climate change, we have encountered hot weather in March and April and the AC is inoperable.
The near death experience of following the GPS to the property which took us to a mountain path that was obviously undriveable and it took quite a while to back down the trail in order to turn around.

There are only good things to say about Il Bagnolo.
The views are outstanding. The drive to the hotel is a little challenging, but once you get there the views will take your breath about.
The family who run the place is so friend. From the breakfast service to the beautiful dinners with amazing home cooked food.
The surroundings around the pool is amazing and the view is one again spectacular.
Beautiful big rooms with nice bathrooms.
There is nothing negative to say.

It was very quiet.
The rooms are far away from the main building, reception and the restaurant. Our room was cold, there is only a heater close to the door. We had to sleep with 4 blankets, but none of these blankets had a duvet cover. The first bed cover was dirty with a drop of dried out blood. There is no coffee machine or electric kettle in the room to even fill up my hot water bottle. It was very disappointing that we drove all the way to Italy to drink an instant coffee in the reception. The road to our room was very bad, there were some broken wood floors and you had to make sure not to fall in. The restaurant is far and you had to take the car to get there in cold foggy weather. There was barely any lights in this road to the restaurant. The property is about 20 minutes from the main road, even with the extra information from the hotel it was difficult to find it. We had to leave 3 days earlier due to the inconvenient situation.
