We stayed in the chateau itself in ‘Charles’ suite on the second floor, very stately and clean. We ate in their gastronomic restaurant which was a delightful experience, very attentive staff and tasty, very well presented food. House wine was excellent but you can indulge in their extensive wine cellar if you know your wines and have deep pockets.
No air-conditioning, it was during their 40’C+ heatwave, which was unprecedented for the area. However, it did distract away from the experience both in the room and restaurant as it was stiffling. Also, there was a private outside event with music which went on well after midnight which we were not warned about, worth checking in advance as with the windows open due to heat it was quite loud
