Unclear about going to ibis so walked in the front if greed which was less welcoming with a broken lift and stairs with treads falling off … however once we were advised to park at ibis we found the entrance much smarter

- Proximity to the motorway - Pets allowed - Parking included - Breakfast was not super rich, but still very enjoyable. We found everything we needed. - Amazing Asian buffet literally 1 minute by foot from the hotel.

The hotel does not have its own reception, you need to check in and out in another hotel opposite the Greet Hotel. The front parking is closed too. This should be said in the initial communication. Our room was super small, but ok for a one-night stay.

The greet Hotel Montbeliard is NOT a hotel, and should NOT be listed as such by Booking.com. It is an unacceptably low grade annex to the adjacent Ibis hotel. It does NOT, as is claimed on Booking.com, have a restaurant – restaurant facilities are in the adjacent Ibis hotel, and cannot easily be accessed by clients with mobility problems (see below). The room itself was well below Basic, having a worktop that was a tiny triangular shelf in the corner of the room, which was much too small to hold a computer. There is no receptionist in the greet Hotel – it is necessary to telephone the receptionist in the adjacent Ibis Hotel, and to go across to that hotel to obtain the room key. I have mobility problems, so I was unable to access the main entrance to the Ibis hotel as there are a number of steps to it. I used the ramp provided, only to find that it led to a locked fire exit that was inaccessible from outside. Fortunately, a hotel guest saw me waiting outside and opened the door for me. I asked the receptionist to ensure that the fire exit door would be left open for me to access the restaurant that evening. When I arrived at the fire exit that evening, I found it locked. There was no way for me to draw the attention of the hotel staff, so I was forced to hammer on the glass door with my walking stick. The hotel manager came to the fire exit and began berating me for hammering on the glass. I told him, in no uncertain terms, that I had asked for the exit to be left unlocked, and that the fault lay with his staff. He was suitably chastened, and avoided my eye for the rest of the evening. The hotel management showed a complete disregard for handicapped guests – all that is required is for a bell-push to be mounted next to the fire exit, so that the receptionist could open it. A further criticism is that the greet Hotel car park is locked in the afternoon, and clients are forced to use the Ibis hotel car park, which is very inconvenient for handicapped guests

We booked the 23m2 room, it was OK for the 2 of us. The bed is comfy, shower works well, toilet and bathroom are separated. Check-in is easy, at Ibis next door. More than enough parking spaces. Breakfast is fair, we missed vegetables. Wifi worked well.

We arrived 11:08 PM but the Greet hotel staff was already out. Before that we received a message that receptionist will leave 23:00-23:15 and we have to go to check in to the next hotel called Ibis. Staff in Ibis do not speak well english, but gave us our room key. In the room water a bit smells chloric. Too little pillows. Very narrow room, very little space. With big luggage would be a problem.

The hotel is newly refurbished. The room was very comfortable and a reasonable size. The staff were all excellent, smartly dressed and very professional. There were very few additional guests so the hotel was very quiet for sleeping.

Breakfast. There isn't enough choice. No cereals or pastries on offer. Just one bottle of orange juice that wasn't refilled when empty. The coffee machine makes very weak coffee. Complaints I saw being made about this made no difference. I dont think the staff know how to fix it. Worst of all is, if you want hot food, you have to cook your own breakfast. One small hotplate for everyone to cook the provided meat and eggs. It was very slow to cook too. Turn the heat up and the smoke sets off the fire alarm. Crazy!
