A great stay, ideal location and happy overall

The cleanliness was great and not o lot in public areas but every part of the room was clean. Location was perfect to train and trams.

6am every morning we were woken up by the chairs and beds scrapping on the floor above us. As the rooms don't have carpet if you have annoying people above you as we did you stand no chance of a sleep in. The spoons are charged 1chf if you want to use one outside of breakfast which is a tad crazy. There are no facilities to grab a coffee u less you buy one from the bar after breakfast.... all very very expensive

The location was awful, hotel was dirty disgusting scents everywhere, no amenities even though it was pricey. Felt like i couldnt breath in the room.

Perfect location and facilities for what I needed - proximity to Hardbruecke train station is key.

I was attending an event at Aubrey (a great bar) directly opposite, so the hotel was in the perfect location. But having been there now I would say it would also be a great location for exploring Zurich - everything is walking distance or trains are very frequent into the city centre and direct to the airport (11mins). I was checked in as soon as I arrived at 1pm and was able to get on with my work.

Only the price - a huge amount to pay for an Ibis - but I understand that it was Film Week in Zurich and all the hotels were busy.

Simple accomodation that suited a one night stay.

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the cot was provided as per our request. The black out blinds were great for our baby and our jet lag.

There were limited amenities in the bedroom such as no kettle. This would have come in handy not just for tea and coffee but to prepare for our young baby.

Good location if you are driving. The staff was kind. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I did not have breakfast at the hotel.

The room was tiny. I was expecting a bigger room for the price paid. Uncomfortable for two people if you carry a few luggage.

Nice stay

The lady in the reception allowed me to do an early check-in if I subscribe to the Ibis loyalty program. That was amazing. Carlos was super attentive also.

The room has a bad smell, probably coming from the AC because the room was very, very clean. For the price, at least, should have the breakfast included.

Not the best place to stay.

Location is good - next to tram station

The air conditioning was not working both days even at 17 degrees. They gave a fan saying that they have bad ACs. The shower was broken and not replaced. Breakfast didn’t have options.

Awful

We've recently had a booking in Ibis City west Zurich from Friday 23rd to Saturday 24th May, however and due to an issue in this latter hotel, we got sent to Ibis budget Zurich. We accepted though being downgraded from a 3 stars to a one star hotel and paying for a 3 stars wasn't the best experience for us. And indeed this hotel was roughly less than a one star. The room was so small we couldn't walk without risking to fall or to hit our luggages, way far from the spacious ibis city west rooms that are displayed in the photos. Plus, we didn't expect that the faucet and the shower were literally in the room by the beds which gave a big lack of intimacy to the point that we were compelled to get one of us out of the room to take a shower. As said we weren't expecting this as Ibis cityWest displayed an independent bathroom separated by a door from the room. In addition, and in a normal hotel room a nightstand is necessary by the beds along with a outlet of power to charge our phones (like in Ibis city west). In response to this displeasure, what kind of compensations do you propose ? Sincerely, Yousfi Aya

Serviceable but overpriced for what it is

The location

Very basic. There is an Ibis Budget just around the corner but this felt very “budget “ to me. No wardrobe , just a very small hanging rail with just 4 of the smallest , worst quality hangers ever. The curtains allow a great deal of light to come through meaning I woke very early each day.

This stay has lowered my impression of the Ibis brand and I will not choose it again.

Convenient location

The hotel facilities are relatively old, the bathroom is not clean, and the bed is uncomfortable. When I entered the room, I found that the window could not be closed. I contacted the front desk and came to check, but it still could not be closed. The front desk said that he would contact the maintenance staff to come, but the maintenance staff did not come until I checked out.

Location, ease of access to trams etc, cleanliness of room.

Continued mentioning of sustainability on leaflets, cards...numerous signs. If you spent less money on the sustainability ethos , you might then be able to reduce the prices of the horrendously overpriced drinks and food. No tea and coffee making facilities.

Overall a very comfortable and pleasurable stay

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very central and close to a tram station, so very easy to commute. The staff at reception are very helpful.

However, the toiletries like dental kit, comb, room slippers stc. were missing. This could be included to make staying experience more pleasurable.

Family room, 2 single beds & double bed. It was spacious, clean. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast. It was possible to use the swimming pool at the novotel next door. Great location.

Air conditioning wasn't great. It wasn't too hot but it barely kept the room cool. I wouldn't have liked to have been there if it was really hot.

Reasonable value hotel with family room not far from city centre

Family room had space for 4 (2 adults, 2 children) and it was cosy but manageable. We had medication which had to be stored in a fridge- hotel staff stored this centrally for us (no fridge in room) Location was near tram stop and supermarkets nearby We arrived early and the hotel was able to securely store our luggage

Hotels generally in Zurich are very expensive, not a specific criticism of this hotel Repairs were ongoing with lifts, which made access to each floor slow due to longer waits for the lift.

Ok if you staying for one night

We were a family of four staying at this hotel. In our rooms we had foldaway beds for my son which was very uncomfortable. My son could feel the metal. As we had booked for four nights we asked the staff to move us to Novotel which was next door which they accommodate and assisted with the move.

Uncomfortable beds, very tiny bathrooms. no wardrobe space and no kettle of tea coffee facilities in the room.
