    Everything was seamless. from check in till check out. room was clean and of decent size. got the one with windows and balcony so we got the morning sunlight and traffic noise at the same time. Only downside is not having a lift in case you got checked bags.

    附近就是基督城植物园，天气好早起去跑个步很舒服。离intercity bus站稍远了点，但附近也有公交站，有直达机场的公交。除了没有毛巾和拖鞋，其他该有的都有。房间要刷卡，厨房退房后还可以使用就很方便。

    치치 여행을 위해 하카하우스에 머물렸는데 지금까지 이용해본 백패커스중에 최고였습니다. 다만 주차가 불편합니다.

    Upon check-in, I noticed a poster of a trans alpine tour being advertised by the hostel. I asked the staff member for more information (what’s included, price, duration etc). The response was ‘I’ve never sold that one so I don’t know’. They didn’t bother to look into it or refer me to a more experienced member of staff who did know. I also requested a bottom bunk, which I appreciate is subject to availability & not guaranteed. I’ve stayed in a number of Haka House hostels & A is usually top bed & B bottom bed. The staff member gave me my room key with A & I asked if it were top or bottom, to which they replied ‘I don’t know’. When I got to the room it was a top bunk as I suspected so I returned to reception & asked if I could be moved to the bottom bunk which appeared empty. They just said to take the bed if it’s empty but I asked them to check the system to ensure no one else was booked into that one over the next few days. I was then told it couldn’t be updated on the system but to just swap. This was fine but it left me feeling on edge that another person could then check in & would be allocated the wrong bed. It was all a bit of mess. Moreover, considering that Haka House is a chain of hotels, it seems strange that this one charges for luggage storage whereas others I have stayed in it’s free…
