Great location and friendly staff

Location was great, staff were friendly and the beds were comfortable.

Rooms are a little tired and worn. It was clean but carpets threadbare (and in one corner patch completely worn away), chipped paint and furniture.

Good but not as good as previous stays

Location and breakfast

Later than expected checkin for executive room. Misleading information says 1pm checkin but 2pm checkout presents a challenge for housekeeping staff to make these rooms available for new guests.

Central location

Have stayed there many times, but recently it is showing signs of wear, and could really do with some refurbishment. There were also some very dubious stains on the wall by the bed.

Friendly and relaxing stay.

I liked that there were options for pillow sizes and the ai conditioning system allowed me to cool the room to the sleeping temperature I preffer.

The body wash was empty on my first shower, perhaps ensure these are checked ore regularly?

A little disappointing

Leonardo is central and room was spacious.

Leonardo is old but clean unfortunately our stay was unfortunate as the socket was worn and while a plug was put in there no power got through to our sleep apnea machine. We attempted it a couple of times but the problem was the socket. There wasn't another socket on the other side of the bed so we moved the machine to the other end of the room just to have power. We advised staff in the morning as the problems occurred in the early hours which we knew meant moving everything to another room in the early hours.

Favourite hotel

Another excellent stay at the leonardo Hotel. Very excellent & friendly staff here that go out their way to accommodate your needs for your stay at this Hotel location is perfect if travelling by train or bus & the union Square shopping centre is located just outside the hotel reception area. Next time we stay I hope to book our favourite executive room on the 7th floor room 712

Excellent location right next to train and bus station and short walk into the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice retaurant and an excellent breakfast. Large rooms that could be kept cool.

Disappointed

The Hotel location is excellent. The Beds very comfortable. The Plumbing needs attention Shower was dreadful No power and not hot enough. The sink water took ages to disappear.The Toilet didn't flush very well and the cistern kept running.

Exceptional!! 5*

Our stay was exceptional!! We got off the boat at 8am and were able to leave our luggage at Leonardos before checking in for our room which is a huge relief. The staff were so friendly and always polite when we interacted with them. The location is ideal being in union square so if you've been shopping you can easily nip it back to the room if need be (I did this a few times). We had some drink in the bar on the Saturday evening which was lovely, however there was a slight draft from the windows (think thats my only complaint i have haha) The aroma from the food that had been ordered at other tables smelled amazing. Once we checked out again we were allowed to leave our luggage at Leonardos until we caught the boat in the evening. I over indulged on the shopping side of it requiring another suitcase which they happily stored with our other bags, life savers! The room we had had everything in it youd need, there was also a locked door to the 1 side which we wondered was a joining room?? This would be a benefit if traveling with family so that we aren't falling over each other in 1 room. We unfortunately didnt eat here but when we visit would opt to having breakfast. We will definitely be back in the not so distant future.

Extremely attentive staff who were always available whether at reception or in dining area. Bed was incredibly comfortable with a lovely duvet. Very welcoming establishment and I would stay there again without question.
