Amazing rooms, but the noise from a late-night event ruined the overall experience.

The rooms were among the best I’ve stayed in over the past year. I had a Skybox, and being able to step out onto a private balcony overlooking the stadium was absolutely brilliant and a real highlight of the stay.

Unfortunately, having two single beds pushed together is never ideal for me. A proper king-size or even a large double bed would have been far more comfortable, as the separation between the beds was noticeable and affected my sleep. During my stay, the hotel was hosting a large party. I completely understand that events come with music, however the volume was excessive. The bass was so loud that it caused my room to vibrate, which was extremely disappointing and ultimately ruined my stay. The music did not stop until midnight. The only way I can describe the experience is that it felt like my room was located directly above a nightclub. Not to sound dramatic, but for January in a small town in Belgium, it felt more like Ibiza during peak season than a relaxing hotel stay.

Comfortable room, easy parking, good location if you have a car.

Comfortable room with an excellent shower. Convenient restaurant attached to the hotel, plentiful nearby shops for supplies.

No onsite shop for necessities and though there are many very close by they close fairly early, leaving you without a way to get toiletries or late night food or snacks. There weren't any vending machines and no ATM on site or nearby. Very loud music would sometimes randomly play from the speakers in the hallway even at night. It was otherwise quiet when I was there but I think it would be quite noisy if there was an event being held while you were there.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing stay.

We had high hopes for this hotel, but our experience was far from what we expected. Several issues significantly affected our comfort and overall impression: - The spa was out of order during our entire stay – something that was never communicated in advance, even though it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. - Our room door had no lock, which made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable. - The hallways were extremely noisy, especially at night, making it difficult to get proper rest. We raised some of our concerns during our stay and later sent a follow-up email to request a partial refund, given the number and seriousness of the problems. Unfortunately, we never received a response to our last email. This hotel could have potential, but the lack of transparency, basic security, and care for guests’ comfort left us very disappointed. We would not return and cannot recommend it in its current state.

Good place to stay in St Truiden after you get used to it.

Good location. Modern. Clean. Italian Restaurant and bar are on the corner but it depends who serves you weather you like it as the surroundings are sterile. We had one good night in the Italian restaurant (served by Rashid) but the next day the service there was horrible. So we left in a bad mood before ordering. We then went to Cafe Soleil and had a great time because the staff there was great as they understood our situation (food comes from same kitchen as restaurant).

Hotel and football stadium are a strange combination. It looks and feels huge but the rooms are in one corner of the stadium and the reception is on the other side. In between you have to walk through the stadium. We got used to it after a day (we stayed 3 nights). Pillows were hard.

Corridor and bedroom smelt strongly of smoking even though it is described as a nonsmoking hotel. Rooms are a long way from reception and there are no luggage trolleys.

location is a little out of town, not a problem but be aware that there aren’t many shops/restaurants etc. around it. room had a view of the scrapyard next door, which was a tiny bit disappointing given all the reviews I’d seen praising the great views of the stadium!

Ok, but you need to have lots of patience.

Very clean room, very good hotel restaurant. I asked for an iron and it was delivered to my room without any troubles- I appreciated that.

The service was once again at a bad level, employees not really trying to help you out, I asked for early check-in, but at the reception I was told it is impossible and I need to come back in 3hrs. When I insisted and asked to check if the room is ready it turned out it is. So it only took 5 seconds to open up a computer and a little of good will, but that's too much to ask for. The card to open the room did not work, had to return to reception twice which is a kilometer away from the rooms (you will know what i'm talking about when you get there). The pool / sauna is open during the weekends until 1 p.m. only and is located in a separate building of course. Every time you stay at Stayen (and I stayed many times) there's 'something', it is never perfect without troubles.

The hotel is beautiful I was impressed and wasn't expecting for it to be even nicer than the pictures! The staff was very nice and they made me feel home even if I don't speak Flemish. Especially the lady working on Sunday around 19.00 she was very gentle to show me the fitness wellness area. Breakfast was very good-and rich selection. Staff at the restaurant area was equally good. I definitely recommend!

I loved the wellness in the evening. The view was very nice. I would just improve the wellness in the morning looked a bit simplicistic and less intimate with the strong lights. Maybe good to invest in that.
