This Hotel does not qualify for a 4 star rating.

The restaurant and lounge area was good. The food was also reasonably good.

The photos of the rooms and bathroom were misleading. The beds or mattresses were well used, the small circular table was old and wobbly. The balcony had not been cleaned and there were cigarette ends in the ashtray on the outside table. The bathroom wall tiles had been painted over. Although we were expecting a shower in the bathroom because I am disabled, we had a bathtub which I could not use. The water pressure on the wash hand basin was little more than a trickle. We booked and paid in advance for 2 weeks. We complained to the receptionist, but she said that although she understood and sympathized with our grievances, she could not offer us a refund as we had booked using Booking.com and that we should take it up with you. My Wife and I decided we could not tolerate these conditions anymore and felt we would be better off at our home. So we left the hotel on 24 September 2025. This Hotel does not qualify for a 4 star rating.

- Despite the poor online reviews, we were absolutely impressed and surprised by this hotel. - It is noisy, but the hotel is usually older! And the hotel can't do anything about annoying guests. - Otherwise, the hotel is located outside of town, in a forest area behind the dunes! Therefore, it would be very quiet there, if it weren't for the annoying hotel guests.

A pleasant stay marred by a faulty bathroom

We have stayed here previously, and know that the restaurant is excellent for us. The bedroom was good and clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The bathroom washbasin was the problem. 1. The mixer tap was difficult to move and use. 2. The plug in the basin did not fit the plughole. 3. The washbasin was so blocked that the water took a very long time to empty (which helped us to use the basin without a plug!).

The hotel is good enough for short stays for the price. Also the Family room which we took was good enough for a family of 4. Also the location is very good.

Old furniture and a little smelly. Can use some good room fresheners/some natural flowers which will give a pleasant and welcoming smell to the guests while they are staying in the room. Furniture can be upgraded which will make the room look neat.

Nice hotel with somewhat dated interior. My room was at the back surrounded by a hill with trees and very quiet. The restaurant serves decent food and the breakfast buffet was nice

garden was not maintained, plants in the hotel were dead. There was nothing in the hotel that made you feel at home and not at all on a leisure trip. Everything looked cheap and even the product were of poor quality. All product I buy in my local grocery are of better quality. This is not what you want. Never Fletcher again. I do not understand the 4 star rating. Better not look at that.

A hotel where guests were treated as unwanted people

Location was good

Rooms were not clean, there were dust balls all around though we informed the reception, next day rooms were not cleaned at all. When we again informed the reception they said “because of corona there wasn’t sufficient cleaning people”. The book in the room clearly said that dinner was available until 21:00. We tried to first call then went downstairs to order food, reception was empty (from 19:45 to 20:15). Eventually when we managed to talk to someone from the kitchen we were informed that “due to corona kitchen was closed at 20:00. They could have at least informed us. Terrible service by very arrogant people

Mooi hotel met goede prijs

Prima kamer en eten voor goede prijs. Personeel vriendelijk en flexibel. Vanaf parkeerplaats mooi loopje door bos en duinen naar de zee.

Achterstallig onderhoud in badkamer is jammer. Likje verf op kozijn en verwarmingsbuizen maakt veel uit. Stopcontact moet vervangen worden.
