The view from our spacious room over the loch was excellent, with spectacular views.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, as were the evening meals which we had in the dining room on the three evenings we were there.
Staff were always pleasant.
On the first full day we were there our room was not cleaned. We reported this and it appears that this was an oversight and our room was cleaned the next day.
We had patio doors in our room which faced the loch and provided access to an open space out which led down to the loch. After we had been there a day we noticed that the end of the room nearest the patio doors was damp and there was mould on the curtains and the walls.
No hooks in either the bedroom or bathroom.
We were unable to regulate the temperature of the room, which was usually too warm at nighttime.

Great location. Upgraded loft room. Comfortable. Nice leisure suite.
Sadly, whilst the staff were friendly and helpful, there just wasn’t enough of them. Seems staff shortages caused operational issues. Took a while to get served in both the bar and restaurant. The staff they did have though went that extra mile.

Outstanding! A beautiful lake side location, with the most magical breakfast buffet in the UK. Hotel is clean, staff is really friendly, free parking, right next to a super-market. Very well located if you want to drive around the Highlands - we even drove to Skye, and it was quite doable.
I’d highly recommend you to stay here! It will be worth it, I am sure!
I actually cannot think of anything that was not good. Just stay at this place, no need to look further!

We visited the Isle of Glencoe Hotel on 14th March for my birthday, just myself and my son. The hotel itself is beautiful, the reception staff were very professional, and our room had a lovely view. The pool and jacuzzi were also fantastic and the scenery around the hotel is stunning.
Unfortunately, our experience in the restaurant was very disappointing due to the attitude of the restaurant manager.
To begin with, we had to ask a member of staff if we could order our food and drinks, as several staff walked past us without acknowledging us. We were seated in the snug area at the back. When we finally managed to order, we placed our food and drinks order at the same time, yet our meals arrived before our drinks. By the time the food arrived we were already halfway through our meal with no drinks.
When the restaurant manager came over and asked if everything was okay, I explained that we were still waiting on our drinks. His response was quite surprising and, frankly, patronising. He told me: “You need to remember it’s a Saturday, there’s only one man on the bar. Have some patience.” He then asked when we ordered the drinks, even though he had no idea how long we had already been waiting. Being spoken to in this way felt unnecessary and uncomfortable.
The food itself was also quite average. The parmesan fries were simply plain chips, the calamari was very greasy, and my son did not enjoy his pizza. However, due to how uncomfortable we felt after the interaction with the manager, we chose not to stay any longer thaUnfortunately, we encountered the same gentleman again at breakfast the following morning. At the breakfast buffet there was only one plate available. As he walked past, I politely mentioned that we were just waiting for plates, as other guests were also looking around for staff. His response to me was simply: “Remember… patience.”
This again came across as patronising and quite intimidating. As this was my first trip away with just my son, without other adults, the interaction left me feeling quite uncomfortable and almost judged.
It’s a real shame, because aside from this individual, the hotel itself is lovely and could have been a wonderful birthday stay.
