The suite was much more than I expected.

I booked the budget double and was given a suite upstairs with a sea view which far exceeded my expectations. The decor is a bit tired but fantastic value for money and lovely staff.
It’s a bit tired.

Location, price, size. Facilities although we didn’t use them as only stayed for 1 night. Staff were were very informative and friendly. Well equipped apartment.
The rooms just need modernising. The shower pressure wasn’t very good. But was fine for a 1-2 night stay and I would stay again.

The back side of the hotel and gardens and location were beautiful and the staff were lovely especially the young girl on reception on the Saturday , who went over and above with some local knowledge for me , she was so friendly and helpful a real asset to the hotel ! Breakfast was nice and the sever friendly , the size of the apartment was good
Very outdated decor and fixtures and fittings in the apartment (quite charming in some way , but really very old fashioned ) workmanship next to our room when we first arrived was very very loud , sauna and steam room both weren’t hot and the hot tub water was quite brown so much so I didn’t stay in it

The suite was very spacious and it was very quiet. We liked being on a single level. The Kitchenette and separate lounge was an added bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful and the gardens were lovely.
The proximity to the beach and town was great.
There was no running hot water in the suite.

Kitchen facilities in room
Very dated old kitchen, uncomfortable sofa and chairs in room so not great to relax in the room.

Lovely location with stunning views, lovely hotel with excellent staff.

The room was a fantastic size with a sea view and spotlessly clean. The food was excellent.
The property is very dated. However, the service and cleanliness definitely make up for it.

The suite was enormous, excellent for a family stay. Beautiful grounds, close to the beach, great views to the sea, indoor and outdoor pools. Friendly and helpful staff.
I love this hotel. It's dated and requires a little work but that adds to it's charm and the basics are all covered. I hope that it never loses it's fight to not be sold as it is a gem of a building and a real family favourite.

Sea view.
No restaurant, rooms are dated and worn down. Bar prices silly!
We have stayed many times before in the past but to us it looks like it is being run down to close. Radiators were off, we had a portable heater. The bathroom had a wall mounted blower that kept going off! The usual Christmas display is no more and the receptionist seemed to be doing all the jobs!

Friendly staff , and good atmosphere with wide views.
Only very minor stuff that did not distract from my stay

location was nice
the rooms are very cold heating didnt work properly and the hot water would last about 3 mins so having a bath in 1 inch of water is harder than im a celebrity get me out of here, this hotel could be amazing but its very run down and needs a revamp.

The pools were lovely and the grounds
Corridors to rooms on lower level bit dark and unwelcoming for a lone traveller so I changed rooms

The only thing to like about this so called hotel is the close proximity to the beach.
It’s tired, dated, noisy and dirty rooms. It ruined my stay and I left early. It’s like something from faulty towers. Broken wardrobes, sofa, dirty rooms. I genuinely don’t know how they have the nerve to call themselves a hotel.

The suite was great for us, we could come and go when we needed and weren’t tied to time for breakfast etc.
There was nothing going on in the hotel in the evening

Cheery Staff, Helpful on all occasions, over exceeding on delivering my luggage to my room. (I have a disability there is no lift!). Fair to say they were Engaging, held a very decent conversation across the board from reception, service, maintenance. I like their attitude and manner very much!
Rooms are actually self catering. I have stayed here before but liked what was available but it is fair to say that decor and furnishings are falling apart and very much in need of replacement/refurbishment, not just TLC.
I liked the view during daylight hours. Weather was appalling (Storm Claudia), but the gardens are very well kept considering our Autumnal Period and I always love a view of the sea.
Furnishings are just very dated and decor shows it's age! Paints, wallpapers all peeling, outside, very bad weathering from the elements. The furnishings are falling apart and obvious issues of making good with repairs.

Easy to find.
Parking on site.
Checked in by Lily who was extremely helpful and welcoming.
Very large suite with lovely view of the garden and sea beyond.
Great value.
Served again by Lily at the bar who helpfully again arranged for our dinner order to be ready for as soon as the kitchen opened so we could get out in time for our show at the Pavillions.
10 minute walk to the beachfront and 15 to the pavilion so perfect location.
All staff were friendly and helpful
Comfortable lounge area in our room.
Would definitely stay again. I am already planning a few days there to be able to use the leisure facilities as we didn't plan that for this time!
The bed was a bit hard but that is just our preference.
Hotel was generally a bit dated and tired. Could really use a but if TLC.

Location was great and the view from the room was lovely. But, that’s as far as it goes
The room was very dated! It was dirty, lots of dust, carpets dirty, light fittings and bulbs were extremely dusty, the light switches had a green coming out of it, coffee table was scratched to hell, the bed was as hard as a board, the kitchen units were broken, the tap had green scale, the sofa was broken and looked like it had come straight out of the 1970’s

The indoor pool and hot tub were the saving grace not the biggest but clean and nice temperatures.
Run down and in need of refurbishment our room was outdated and the noise coming from other rooms above and to the side was like they were in your room!

Great location. Not far from the beach. The gardens were beautiful. Lots of leisure amenities such as indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym. The rooms were large with high ceilings. Great view of the surrounding area and sea.
The decor is dated and there was a large stain on the sofa bed mattress.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
TVs were a good size.
Rooms included a kitchette and lounge seating.
Bed linen was clean, beds were comfortable, and towels were good.
Dinner was very simple fare, but tasty.
The rooms need a lot of maintenance and a deep clean. In fact, they are in need of a major upgrade. Our first room was a downstairs 'garden suite' that had a door opening onto the lawn. The door was unlocked when we arrived and we weren't able to lock it, however, a staff member came and locked it for us. Then we couldn't get the shower to run and were eventually moved to another room/family suite upstairs (Room 5). Both bathrooms had a shower over a rather narrow bath, which made the shower curtain stick unpleasantly to you. The kitchens in both rooms were sad affairs, and Room 5 had a kitchen cupboard door that didn't close, and a dirty sink and taps. The twin bedroom in Room 5 had a basin in it with a piece of bent MDF board beneath it. Once the bedroom window was closed, the odour from that sink was offensive.
Some walls throughout the hotel are grubby and marked, some with torn wallpaper.
It could be a really good hotel if management invested appropriately.

I liked the swimming pool and leisure facilities which were included in the price. The gardens were beautiful. The dinner service was very quiet.
The place needs a bit of care love and attention. Most rooms are very dated.

The suite was very spacious, well equipped and comfortable.
Staff for friendly and it is a beautiful building.
We only paid about £75 so it did offer great value for money
The gym swimming pool facilities were quite dirty

The hotel enjoys a fantastic location with stunning sea views and a beautiful garden. It has a cosy and welcoming atmosphere, and the price is very reasonable for the quality offered. Cleanliness is also well maintained, which adds to the pleasant stay.
The internet connection is very weak and unreliable. Soundproofing is poor, making it easy to hear conversations from neighbouring rooms and upstairs. The bathroom and overall interior feel dated, with the last renovation seemingly in the 1980s or early 1990s.

Walking distance from sea front.
Really hard to park.
Was last decorated in 1999! I thought I was staying in my nans flat! I couldn't upload the video but I think the faded yellowish phone says it all!

Breakfast was lovely. Good sized English breakfast, good coffee and toast. Room - we were upgraded to an apartment so no complaints there regarding the size of the room! Room was clean and towels replaced each day. The view was overlooking the lovely gardens out to the sea. Superb.
The water pressure in both showers was very poor unfortunately and one toilet did not flush too well and took a long time to refill. Other than that, all good.Indoor swimming pool was lovely, changing rooms look tired.
