The mystery of the missing pizza

Good location close to the station

We paid £17 for a pizza to share when we got in and room service had taken it !!!!! Not partially eaten, not in bin, quite obviously not to be thrown away. Absolutely fuming.....and starving !!!!

The hotel and staff provided exactly what I was after - a welcoming and comfortable place to stay.

I booked because I had stayed previously on business. Welcoming reception and foyer area, friendly staff, comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. Good location - close to train station and city centre.

Great location short taxi ride from the great night life! Lovely comfortable stay, hotel bar staff so lovely and friendly and happy hour was brilliant and a really nice touch! Good car parking facilities and reasonable price!

Not worth it

The only advantage is f the hotel is its central

Unfortunately, everything else. The room smelled very bad, and the electricity was not working when I arrived. I had to go to reception to ask for assistance. Although someone came to fix it, the solution was only temporary, and the issue happened again. I had to return to reception and insist on changing rooms, which took a very long time as they kept proposing temporary fixes instead of a proper solution. I had booked three nights but checked out after the second night. Never again.

The overall stay was really pleasing and will be back again

I was really impressed with the hotel venue as I had been past but hadn't realised that it is lovely inside. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and for a large hotel I found that the venue was kept extremely clean. They also provided a table football game in the foyer that could keep people amused whilst there was any waiting time. The room I had was large with a second sofa to place things on and had all the amenities needed, and on each floor they provide a drinking water machine which was a great touch.

Very convenient location and comfortable room; nothing major to complain about.

The hotel is very conveniently located, just a short walk from the train station and the city centre, which makes it ideal for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel itself is clean, quiet, and well maintained, creating a calm and comfortable atmosphere. The room was spacious and well organised, with plenty of room to relax. It was equipped with useful amenities such as tea and coffee making facilities and an ironing board, which was very convenient. Overall, the stay was comfortable and pleasant, and I would happily recommend this hotel to others.

Lovely place to stay, great location next to the station. Room was clean and staff were friendly

We came back late (2am) and it was slightly tricky getting in at this time as no staff on desk. Understandably they lock the doors at that time but one to watch if your staying here for an event that finishes late

Great hotel near Temple Meads

Excellent room and service - we got a free upgrade which came with plenty of amenities including slippers, toiletries, and a bigger room. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The location was very convenient being right next to Temple Meads.

The window was a bit thin, so the noise from the street was a bit loud in the morning.

Average and not value for money

Room was average. Not very nicely decorated and quite shabby in places like the carpet, walls and bathroom. Didn't try the breakfast but the hotel lobby looks very nice. Location is perfect.

Staff on reception not very smiley. Understand that not everyone has to smile but you have a customer-facing job. Value for money in terms of the quality of the room was not great at all...

Slightly disappointing

Room was a good size, clean and comfortable Excellent room facilities; fridge, tea and coffee Bathroom clean with lovely toiletries and a proper bath mat for the shower

Bedside light did not work Staff seemed very cold. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary which they knew however on check in, no real recognition of this just a mumbled congratulations, no smile. Same on check out just took the key. Suppose we got a biscuit in the room for wedding anniversary...woop woop!!

People and Dog Welcoming. Excellent service. Casual hospitality at its best.

Casual feel with a comfortable and hospitable welcome from staff. The hotel is dog friendly which actually isn’t fair, it’s really dog welcoming and also was mindful of a bit of space for the guests who are less keen on pets. Thats helpful to dog owners and aids a better relaxed atmosphere. Goof all round. Food was good for hotel service.

Honestly there’s nothing I could complain about. It all worked and the location is great.

The water in the shower was lukewarm at best & the bathroom sink would clog quickly & smelled bad. Luckily I wasn’t really in the room all that much so it didn’t bother me too much

Super hotel to stay in an interesting city.

Friendly welcome, lots of help given re how to get to various places. Delicious breakfast and our room was brilliant. I was very impressed with Novotel and delighted that we stayed there.

The television didn’t have many channels that worked, we could only get 3 however not a big deal.

Not a bad hotel but no hot water is a major negative for me.

It was close to the station and met our general needs but there was no hot water to have a shower. Would expects a solution or refund for some of the stay

Shower was rubbish, water pressure was non existent and went freezing cold after about 2 minutes. Didn’t rewarm by the time my partner had to take a freezing shower.

Exceeded expectations, would definitely stay again

The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Blue badge holders do not pay the parking fee. You could rent large umbrellas for £2 for 48 hours which was a great touch and much needed due to the weather at the time! Staff were very clear on what was complimentary for the stay which was really helpful.

The lights in the room where seemed randomly placed and was quite dim even with all the lights on.

Great location with parking (shame you have to pay extra for it). Comfy bed. Good TV.

Paying for parking, quite noisy inside the hotel late at night and early in the morning a lot of noise directly outside window. Only shower gel provided, no shampoo. Could do with some updating in bathroom, shower was pretty rubbish. Quite chilly in the room with no obvious way of making it warmer.
