Novotel Bristol Centre

Great, quiet location. The staff were lovely and helpful, the common areas of the hotel were in good knick, breakfast buffet was good, nice Rituals toiletries, free water on every floor. Comfortable bed for those of us with a bad back.

Bedroom decor is tired and the lighting is bad - bit depressing coming back to in the evening. Our TV didn't work, although it didn't bother us enough to contact reception. There was some noise late in the evening, unsure if it was another guest or something mechanical. A few more toiletries other than the basic shampoo, shower gel, hand soap would have been nice.

The bed was very comfy, and the room was very spacious. Breakfast was nice

I found the carpet in the rooms to be quite tatty, the First Lady I dealt with was nice, but she read my room number and floor out when there was a group of men stood next to me. As a lone women that didn’t sit with me right. Alls that was needed to be said was here’s your key card, floor and number is written inside, there are directions on how to get to other floors on this wall here. It didn’t need to be announced. I found the staff in the breakfast buffet to be quite well, nosey. I felt like I was being watched the whole time.
