Nice hotel with friendly staff will be staying again in the future.
The property was very clean and close to Windermere but far enough away from and disturbance.
Nothing it had everything what you need for a hotel.

Fantastic Fairy Tale Hotel with amazing character.
The hotel is like something out of a book or movie. It is an amazing place to stay and the best way to describe the downstairs of the hotel is to be like you are living in a fairy tale with the reminders of Beatrix Potter and Alice in Wonderland. You have a hotel which suits all ages and we will definitely be back again. David on reception was also amazing to deal with and after a slight issue where my girlfriend had mislaid her mobile David came to the rescue when relocating it. To anybody who is looking for a hotel which suits any occasion or to spend time as a couple or with children then look no further than Lindeth Howe Hotel.
The service at the cocktail bar was slow but we put that down to time of the year. However, if you could improve on this then it would have been a perfect stay. The glasses at breakfast were still dirty and had marks on them but that would be nit picking.

Beautiful. Will come again
Beautiful place and quirky decor.
FREE birds of prey was good too.
Very tasty breaki.
No atmosphere. Booked to eat dinner there but as no music or atmosphere we went to town, shame as i heard great things about the food.
Maybe live singer would help or even music playing.

Great hotel, enjoyable stay but uncomfortable bed.
Clean, quaint, great location, friendly staff.
My only criticism was that a really beautiful room was spoiled by the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. However, I didn’t want to complain so the hotel didn’t have the chance to rectify, to be fair.

Would recommend and hope to return in the future.
Very welcoming staff and relaxed atmosphere. Nice to be close enough to walk into Bowness but also away from the centre. Lovely breakfast. Well furnished, comfortable and clean rooms. Enjoyed the evening in the beautiful grounds with a glass of wine. Perfect way to celebrate my birthday with friends.
Nothing to add.

Perfection!
Beautiful couple of nights, friendly staff, gorgeous decor, traditional yet stylish, great breakfast and the birds of prey display were an added surprise on the lawn. We ate dinner at the hotel on the second evening and the food was delicious. The place is steeped in Beatrix Potter history and all the artifacts just felt magical. Our view from our attic room over the lake was amazing and we could even watch the sunset. We would definitely return.

On the whole a great place to stay, close to Bowness and the ferries.
A beautiful hotel with lots of character, with a Beatrix Potter theme. Amazing decor, very pleasant staff, would definitely stay there again.
Slightly further out of town than i first thought, limited parking although there was a wedding on, uncomfortable mattress, very small TV in room, no view from our room.

Fab place, funky interior on ground floor, fabulous staff.
Stunning areas to eat, drink, sit & relax.
Bed & pillows comfy, great blackout curtains, warm & cosy. Stunning bar, eating & drinking area. Great staff. 🤩
Great cupboard of games & piano book stand.
The bedroom was very tired, some parts broken, chair arms manky, floor big lump missing, bathroom good but door stop smashed off, TV dated, only one biscuit left with tea/coffee. Needed a bedside lamp either side of the bed. Bed could have done with more exciting bedding & certainly to cover the base up …… or you could put a blanket box at the base to hide it. Needed painting outside.

The mattress was uncomfortable, however it may suit someone else as everyone is different

Perfectly enjoyable and friendly experience.
The food was good, not massively exciting, but good and good value. Staff were nice, and attentive. The garden is beautiful and it was fun to have a falconer come to show off his birds on Sunday morning.
The lighting in the restaurant is terrible - gloomy and difficult to see your food - maybe spotlights, or some little lamps on the tables? The decor with all the flowery wallpaper is fun, but please, please get rid of the silk flowers - they are horrid.

Satisfied with how we were treated but room not great
Very accoomdating and friendly staff. I was best man at my cousins wedding and John who was the coordinator was very helpful. Breakfast was amazing
Our room was a bit shabby, light fittings hanging off wall ripped curtains broken blinds and bed not very comfy. I feel that the price was too high for this standard of accommodation.

Nice stay , prob wouldn't stay again . Due to room size and breakfast
Lovely building , loved the quirky decor. Staff very welcoming
we were in the attic room ( well I did ask for a view!) sloping ceiling quite claustrophobic and room very warm.Breakfast bit limited .... some danish pastries would have been nice ... I only saw they were available when the next table we brought some .

The two nights were excellent would definitely recommend it friends and family.
The hotel oozed class, breakfast was excellent, staff could not be more helpful
Unfortunately the room was not cleaned on our second night
Disappointed that only one small packet of biscuits in a room that cost £400 a night

Good overall experience.
The down stairs and the garden area.
The way you were asked upon leaving that the bill included supplementary charges which if you want can be taken off.

We had a nice room with a lovely view of the gardens and a little of the lake. The grounds were nice with a small steam running along the rod into the property. Food and drink were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Dissappointing food and room but the downstairs and grounds were very nice.
The hotel was very clean and decorated well downstairs. The furnishings were very comfortable and the outside gardens were very pretty and relaxing.
We stayed in a "deluxe double" room 107 which was in serious need of modernisation. The bed was hard and lumpy and the shower was hopeless, it had a tiny shower head with very little water pressure.
We dined at the restaurant on one evening and the food was very average and way overpriced for what was essentially pub grub. We dined here five years ago and the food was excellent, it has really gone downhill.
Also the room we booked on booking.com was not the room as shown in the photo, it was considerably smaller.

We only stayed one night, but if we had a longer stay would have had to insist on some new pillows
Loved how quirky hotel was
Bed uncomfortable, pillows horrendously uncomfortable
6.0 / 10.0
They need to understand they are in the service industry.
In a great location
Multiple issues I would like to point out:
1. Booked a family, double deluxe and a twin room for 6 people. Was Offered a family room that felt like a double room converted into a family room with an extra cot with no space to use cupboards. When I mentioned this, was told nobody else before mentioned this problem - absolutely no service minded ness. You are not doing me a favour - paying close to £260 per night.
2. We never got to dine (albeit we were not prompt, I acknowledge), either they were full or the kitchen closed early as there were not enough people to be served. It’s end of Jun, I would imagine it’s peak season and some level of flexibility would have been nice.
3. Cleaning services - missed the fact that I could notify through the card ‘clean me up’ or something but made it a point to let the cleaning lady on the floor know that we needed clean towels and change of toiletries (in the morning)- come back in the evening to a dirty room, no towels nothing in-spite of being told. So called reception to help with depleting toiletries - get the response, busy with a client now, will attend soon. That’s it. No show!!
4. Breakfast - definitely could have been better - most of them were fried stuff. I took the veg option - I like the spread of mueslis though.
