Fabulous location. Staff were very friendly and helpful
The Breakfast on the Sunday morning was very disappointing. There had been a big wedding party there the Saturday and the breakfast was very poor on the Sunday morning

A beautiful property in a stunning location. The staff are so good here, very personable, professional and clearly really enjoy working here.
The rooms are very comfortable, great beds, a shower and bath which was very welcome. Breakfast was all waiter service which I much prefer to a buffet, it was cooked perfectly with lots of options available. We had dinner both evenings we stayed and the standard of the food and service in the restaurant was 5 star.
On arrival we were shown to a room which we discovered had some problems with the bath. We mentioned this to reception and they immediately moved us to an upgraded suite with beautiful views (and a fully functioning bathroom).

Lovely historic property. So quiet. Rooms large and clean with robes and quality toiletries.
Avoid the steak. A disaster and incredibly overpriced.

The Staff. They were excellent. Friendly helpful couldn't do enough for guests. But under staffed which was very noticeable when functions were on.
The Staff were the best part of the hotel.
The grounds and building were impressive. Meals were very good, and plenty to eat.
The room was not always made up and cleaned. When this was pointed out staff on duty were very apologetic and did their best to sort it but given the price of the room it was not good enough. Paintwork was the worst for wear in a lot of places and stair carpets were thead bare. Seemed on occasions to be working on a shoestring budget.
