Excellent variety of breakfast food
Accommodation on ground floor or a lift as I found it very difficult to reach my room on 1 st floor due to my disability

We had the family privilege room and it was huge! Two double beds and lots of space for bags ect. Perfect room if traveling with kids/babys.
There were lots of cars outside which makes me think they had a lot of guests staying the same time but wouldn’t have known. Breakfast time there was only a handful of people so it was really nice and chilled.
Really liked the car park and how easy it was to access the hotel from the main road.
The staff are all really friendly!
We stayed 3 nights while we were visiting family close by and would happily stay again. Perfect place for a B&B.
Property was lovely and heated and easy to control the temperature of the room with the radiator/windows/ac.
At night the room was extremely dark. Perfect for sleeping!
The hotel doesn’t have a lunch/evening restaurant or bar but does have leaflets for local takeaways and a supermarket.
When we first went into the room we could smell stale smoke. It was very strong. We sprayed perfume and bought a candle to help get rid of the smell. We found that the carpet had cigarette burns and some parts of the room required some decorating but it’s still a really nice size and has some really nice features like mirrors and furniture.
We went to use the shower on our second morning of staying there and found that the shower wouldn’t work. Luckily We were able to have washes with the bath. We didn’t know who was best to tell because the reception seemed to only be manned at a certain time and it also didn’t bother us to much because we were only there to sleep and have breakfast but in the summer time I’d probably have been more concerned about needing a working shower.
Don’t expect your room cleaned everyday if staying for more than 1 night, we were happy not having someone in our room while we were out but unfortunately our bins were overflowing with rubbish by the time it was ready to leave - sorry to the housekeeper who cleaned our room after we left.

I enjoyed leaving this hotel, only good thing was how nice the lady was in sorting out our problems with the room.
Room we had was bath only, then we got allocated another room with a shower, but all the tiles were off the bath and just dumped on the floor to only find the 3rd was substantial enough to stay in.

Breakfast was nice and plentiful.
Room was very basic, had to turn on the radiator myself as the room was freezing - as the window was left open - and there was snow on the ground outside.
I was unable to get the hot/cold water in the shower from either scalding hot or freezing.. I did spend a decent amount of time trying to get it usable..
No effort had been made to ensure any safety in the car park, as a significant amount of snow had fallen and it was on a slight incline - some vehicles had slipped over to the lowest point of the car park, and had to be left abandoned overnight.
They clearly let people smoke in the rooms, and do not carry out the policy of ejecting people if they do.
No Bar at all, and no restaurant at all.

Staff were friendly, breakfast was good. Rooms dated but clean enough. Cheap as chips.
The hotel was used post-Corona as a make-shift courtroom to catch up with overdue court cases. It is currently being renovated to return the front portion of the hotel back to normal.
Check in was at the back of the hotel in a repurposed bar and you had to use the back emergency stairwell.

Local to where I needed to go. Located on a main road easy to get to.
Property needs a good clean, hallways has a smell, carpets in rooms and hallways are very dirty. Issue with rooms when arrived, issued room key but when entered room, room was obviously occupied, but filthy, something disgusting in sink and bath panel was completely pulled out!!
Allocated another room by staff so no complaints regarding staff but computer system not correct in terms of room allocation, couldn’t relax all night as worried someone may come into my room!!

It's a very convenient hotel to access Central Birmingham easily by car or public transport. Staff are efficient, polite and very helpful.
The whole hotel is very dated and could do with modernisation. The lift has been out of order for years.

Breakfast mostly fine, in a relaxed atmosphere.Nice bacon but disappointingly served with lukewarm tinned mushrooms and tomatoes.
Cooked breakfast!

Room Clean
Shower didnt stay in the holder hence kept falling down onto you. Water was SCALDING HOT No warning signs. Mould on sealer in bathroom. Electric oil filled radiator as heating. Collapsed foot on heater so was difficult to move and got very hot!. Lamp on table had test date JUNE 2021 on it. When plugged in the switch crackled and bulb flashed on and off. Very dark room only 2 Downlighters. " lamps in head board 1 worked the other was hanging down and didnt work. Outside the window on the flat roof was margaringe tubs and what looked like rubbish over it. The Yale lock dint lock so slept with a chair against it. The outside of the Hotel is not as in the photograph on Booking.Com. The entrance was down the side and the doors were open all night. Anyone can walk in and try all the doors to the accommodation. Do NOT recommend anyone to stay here.

Staff was very friendly throughout our stay. Room was nice and warm. Breakfast was good also, staff cooked my girlfriends veggie sausages straight away, to which my girlfriend said was very nice.
Couldn't have a bath or shower due to not being able to add cold water to the hot. From what I heard from the staff it seems like this is a recurring issue.

Breakfast was excellent. Lady on duty very helpful and sociable.
It would be a good idea to install a lift in the future.
There were no hangers in our wardrobe

The only good thing was the breakfast. Oh and the staff were pleasant.
I received an email to tell me that there was no lift and no walk-in showers. There was absolutely no disabled accessibility anywhere. No grab rails in the bathroom. Just over the bath showers (which were not working anyway.
I did ask if I could possibly cancel without losing my payment due to the lack of facilities, but I was told no.
No hangers in the room, no iron, no hairdryer.
The electricity kept going off too.
Not knowing the area, we did not know what the locals know ! Stay well away from this place !
No help to take luggage up or down the stairs.
Never, ever again !

Large car park. Friendly receptionist on arrival. Comfy bed.
Shabby outside and inside, boarded up windows and broken glass. Rubbish everywhere. Smelled musty and smokey. Rooms could be accessed via stairs off car park without going through reception which felt unsafe. Car park poorly lit. Room stank of cannabis with waves of it coming through the window as other guests were clearly smoking in their rooms. Shower didn't work. Bedside light didn't work. Window didn't close properly. One pillow. Hairs in bath. Thin walls and noise all night. Fire alarm went off randomly very early morning then switched off and never mentioned. Cooked breakfast on buffet was cold.

Room was clean staff were friendly
Room was extremely hot . Radiators were broken and couldn't be turned down or off only offered a fan to help control on fan was broken so couldn't be adjusted . Shower controls were poor resulting in either very hot or cold water and shower pressure was very low

Nothing, not even the hotel management was nice
Everything, firstly it felt like you’ve arrived at a place that near Chernobyl in 80s but stank of stale beer throughout corridors and inside your room, refugees clearly love this place they were staying throughout but you do get bored of the constant door knocking and room swapping, I can only assume it because like my room every service was broken or didn’t work properly even my lock on my door wouldn’t work and the shower head missing.
I did leave 30 minutes after checking in and was offered a refund by the shift manager but this was never followed through by the tramps/management that run the hotel chain.
Please don’t waste your time staying here, it’s the worse experience I’ve had staying in a hotel and on top of that using booking.com wouldn’t help to process a refund.

Staff were very nice and very helpful
The hotel was Outdated and the room was to hot, the shower were broken and the hot and cold water temperature would not keep adjusted, the room did not have enough pillows and the rooms are not sound proof, the lift did not work, poor signage, the floor was to noisy and the furniture’s were not in good conditions, the bed was not comfortable and I had not sleep well and felt very tired the next morning, it also sounded like someone was trying to come into our room and the toilet were broken and does not flush well, the entire hotel smells very old

Experience was not what was advertised on internet.
Disappointed with room. Staff changed it for an even worse room.
8.0 / 10.0
The room was large & clean. It had a great size tv & a fridge, which was a nice bonus. Sadly the mattress was a little soft for us, but that’s all personal preference. The breakfast was very good. Buffet style but were very accommodating on the type of eggs you might like. The staff were always pleasant & helpful. We would have no problem staying again.
The only things that need attention are the carpets and some of the walls had some cracks which need looking at. But everything else was fine.
4.0 / 10.0
Bed was ok
Shower had non pressure and water trickled out so shower was not fit for purpose.
TV didn’t work and asked twice for this to be rectified which member of staff said they would do but didn’t
8.0 / 10.0
The room was big and spacious, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast and service in the morning was excellent
The front of the hotel is not being used, so was not lit up in the evening and there needs to be clearer signposting of where to go once in the car park, stairs up to rooms could do with a new carpet and new handrails

Didn't end up staying at the hotel after going to our room and seeing the state of it. The door was open when we arrived. The carpet was dirty, pillow cases were dirty, and there were some white stuff on the curtains. Finger prints the TV. The room had definitely not been cleaned. Lots of young people walking around with cans of drink etc. We did not feel safe at all. So we asked for a refund so we could go to another hotel. We won't be returning!!

Bedding and bathroom was clean
The pictures on the site must be 10 years old as our room looked nothing like it , run down and looked like a hostel , smelt of cannabis, the windows were broken, room was half painted , curtains had disintegrated and the carpet was filthy , we had paid for breakfast but couldn't bring ourselves to go and eat it .

Relatively cheap
We knew the property was run down, but we were put in a room on 1st floor near loud generator, which ran all night and made it near impossible to sleep. We were underneath people who chatted and made love all night.

Staff was approachable and did allow us to change room but still inconvenient
Original room; booked a kingsize room- 2 single beds with separate mattresses were pushed together to make a ‘king’ bed
Tv wouldnt allow me to sign out of my Netflix account
Room was VERY muggy/hot despite using air conditioning
New room; hot temperature guage on shower didn’t work

It was old tattered and needs to be completely refurbished

Great size room. Bed was very comfortable.
Cleanliness could have been better. Hair balls on the carpets and standing water.on the bathroom floor (where the shower was overspraying the edges) indicated floors had not been cleaned. The TV did not work and the shower head holder was broken.
