The getaway experience(Ipswich Centre Novotel)

The Staff were very friendly and very helpful 😊 The decor and layout of the hotel was very nice and up to date. The Room was very spacious and accommodating. The bed was very comfy. The food was top notch 👌 😋 The location of the hotel was close to ALOT of amenities..I.e town centre only a 10-15 minute walk. Christchurch Park was a lovely walk for the scenery. The Waterfront too, was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel...so overall very happy. The football Stadium(Ipswich FC) was very, very close(a must stay for the football lovers).

The sight/view was a slight let down as right next to a busy roundabout, however..only a mild inconvenience. With the window fully shut it was surprisingly and reasonably quiet. The shower facilities were unfortunately a little poor, due to low pressure and functionality. (No instructions as couldn't tell between levels of water hot and cold). Separate toilet to bathroom/shower. So no where to wash hands after going. Not very good hygiene, as touching handles on way.

Value for money, quality of plumbing as there was a consistent shower drip throughout the night despite the valve being fully closed which caused very poor sleep.

Perfect choice on location

Larger than average room with a big comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. Plenty of tea and coffee provided. Excellent Internet connectivity. We initially chose the hotel for its proximity to our concert venue at St Peters by the Waterfront which is literally a 2 minute walk away.

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel because it seemed a little on the pricey side. Especially when the surrounding area had plenty of other options for buying breakfast.

From the outset, the staff member was professional and extremely helpful. My room and facilities were just as described. Very good sleep. I loved the breakfast, everything you want and specially prepared eggs. So well positioned for The Saints and centre of Ipswich.

Brilliant staff, location perfect

Great hotel, location spot on. What really made the stay was the staff from check-in through to restaurant/bar. Very accommodating from when we arrived late Saturday morning through to the evening. Believe Geoff was in the restaurant, made real effort as did the evening manager. Only disappointment was the football result but they couldn’t help that!

Only slight feedback would be the heat in the hotel but understandable in December

A pleasant place to spend a few nights.

This is a well known chain hotel. It matched our expectations. On foot, its a bit of a tricky location, but after a few tries, we managed to safely navigate to and from it!

10/10 Service, Great Value. and perfect location to walk around town

The staff were very accommodating, we arrived a few hours before check in and I mentioned to the desk that I needed somewhere to do an online course for a couple of hours, so they spoke to the cleaning team and managed to get us an early check in so I didnt need to sit in the lounge. Great Value and 10/10 service.

The only negative I can think of is that there were no flannels in the room, but this was not a big deal.

Poor standard and wouldn't recommend staying

Not much to add here as nothing comes to mind in comparison to other 4 star hotels including Novotel's

Standard of hotel was not 4 star and would compare to Premier Inn/ Travel Lodge etc at best. I have stayed in many other Novotel's around the country and this is below standard. Our sleep was disrupted throughout the night with noises and acoustics meant you could hear all the doors shutting, guests walking around, but most annoying was every time a guest flushed the toilet you could hear the water coming through the pipes. Worst sleep I've had in years and felt exhausted when I woke up.

Excellent, well located hotel with friendly and very helpful staff. Will definitely use them again.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Large and comfortable room with Nespresso coffee machine and pods. Bathroom not too small and very clean. Really good location and easy to walk to the waterfront area.

Just one smallish lift, so on busy days it’s a bit of a wait. Parking area was a bit small, but there’s not much that can be done about that.
