I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Vardar!! A great location just inside the gate of Old Town, Hotel Vardar’s staff at reception is professional and helpful…recommended an amazing seafood restaurant just a short walk from the hotel. The hotel’s bar was very good, too. The hotel decor was gorgeous. The room was clean and beautiful. Robes, slippers, a very large shower with great smelling bath gel and shampoo, thick bath towels…perfect. And we were so excited that there were several English tv stations to choose from not just BBC, CNN and news but movies. The breakfast was great! Offered a wide variety of items to choose from in a very nicely set up breakfast room. We loved it! Highly recommend a stay at Hotel Vardar!!
Not one thing…all was great.

Central location plus a comfortable and huge room! The reception staff was really welcoming and friendly. We loved our stay here, would stay again.
Nothing really comes to mind, the hotel has met our expectation.

The location is brilliant, in the heart of the old town. Whilst there was an issue with the room, the staff were absolutely brilliant.
Whilst the room was good, the curtains did not fully close, the wooden blind also didn't close and one night we had ants where the staff had to change our rooms.

Room was excellent. Room temperature control regulator needs improvement ( room temperature became warmer time to time ).
Breakfast needs improvement in the terms of variety and quality - Though satisfactory

The room was great. The location in the old walled city was great, everything was around us. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they helped arrange some trips and advised on some better ones. Breakfast was good, different choice of pastries each morning, nice fruit and yogurts too
Only WIFI in the hotel, had to pay or buy a new sim for use of WIFI outside the hotel

Fabulous location. A general feeling of luxury in the room which was amazingly silent despite the location. The woman on reception (Marija) was exceptionally helpful. The buffet breakfast was the best I've had in a long time.
Nothing.

As you walk through Kotor Old Town city walls entrance, you emerge into a stunning square, with the Hotel facing you. It is a magnificent building with outdoor tables and chairs beautifully set up at its entrance. The staff were welcoming and very easy to contact on our route from the airport, our room was ready early. The furnishings are classic and elegant, the whole place felt very well looked after and clean. You cannot park in the Old Town but we left our hire car at a nearby car park which was 15euro per day, only a 10 minute flat walk along the harbourside to the hotel. Our room was serviced everyday, to a high standard. Breakfast was good, some local specialities on show such as savoury pastries and the local cake. We booked the sauna for our own use, robes and slippers in the room to use for this. The local streets within the walls are wonderful to wander, endless little shops, bars and great restaurants. We hiked up to the Fortress for the view and also drove all around the Bay of Kotor, stopping at the little villages en route. October was a fabulous time for this as it was a good temperature but not much traffic on the small roads. You can do a full loop, catching the car ferry (10 mins) to come back around to Kotor. The hotel and area ticked all the boxes for a wonderful 3 night break.
We knew when we booked that there weren't tea/coffee making facilities in the room, so this was not a negative as such, just that it would have been nice.

The staff and location was amazing. Right in the heart of the old town.
Staff were exceptional.
Some of the rooms were quite dark just due to the narrow streets

Great location.
The reception staff allowed a visitor to come to my room at 5.30am without calling the room. They are a good friend so not really a problem BUT - don’t let people into the hotel without checking with the guests .

Stayed in one of the suites and it had a gorgeous view outside into the main square, was large and comfortable The hotel is an excellently positioned location for anywhere in the Old Town. Nice choice of breakfast food for vegetarians too and didn't ever get too busy.
Staff are very accommodating and happy to help.
Accept it might be more noisy (not outrageously so) more so Fridays and Saturdays, but you are in the centre of Old Town so you sign up for it and if you are shocked or upset by that then you haven't really thought it through! Ear plugs easily sorted that out. I'm a light sleeper and didn't struggle most of the week. Reception can provide earplugs if you forget.

Perfectly located
Aircon did not work properly and rooms were very hot. Some staff very unfriendly and unaccommodating. My son’s room smelled terrible (damp) but they just came in and sprayed perfume.

Location was perfect and the front desk were exceptional! Room was great.
Nothing. (Although loud on Friday and Saturdays nights from local summer concert but not the hotels fault and it's loud all over the old town!)

This hotel is located within the old city. Our room was pretty old but I expected that! But it was clean, offered free WIFI and was an OK size. We chose this hotel for the price and the location! The breakfast was good and there are so many restaurants to choose close to the hotel.
No major issues with the hotel

Spacious room had a cool cave-like feel, which I enjoyed retreating to after exploring the sweltering streets of Kotor outside. Lots of good restaurants within a 5 minute walk; three pizzerias with 1 minute. A shop sells Montenegro SIM cards for 15 Euro about 15 seconds from the hotel door. There's a bit of a regal feel to entering the old town gate, crossing the ancient square, passing by fine dining, to reach the hotel. The inside of the hotel actually looks as beautiful as the pictures show.
The emergency exit stairwell was being used as a storage area and looked completely blocked. My room was on the first floor and it was possible to open the window and escape that way. I never did figure out how to turn certain lights off and on. Insufficient number of electrical outlets. The WiFi password is specific to each room, so they're tracking internet usage.
Overall, I enjoyed the breakfast, but a few things tasted spoiled or off. Specifically the "cream" in the coffee from the coffee machine tasted like a dehydrated dairy product that's been expired for 5 years. A cheese tasted sour (maybe it's supposed to be that way, but I bet it was just stored at room temperature too long). And I'd recommend covering the fruits, meats, and cheeses with something to keep flies off. Flies were present.
For the quality and amenities, I feel the room cost was too high. But for the location in Old Town Kotor, the cost was reasonable. Since taxis are cheap, budget conscious travellers could stay further from Old Town, commute in, and not miss out on anything.

Center location , great staff
Rate this a 3 star hotel ... no tea or coffee in the rooms . Bottled Water is not provided every day . Disappointed to see note to say you cannot bring your on drinks into the room Important .. you cannot park in the hotel . External parking cost 15-20euros per day ( 80cents per hour) . 6-10 min to walk in heat to hotel .

Outstanding, the room and the bathroom were very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is great with a lot of options.
A bit noisy in the evening with people singing in the street, but nothing my earplugs couldn’t handle :)

My room was ready earlier so they let me check-in early. The location is perfect as it's inside the old town!
The sound proofing is almost inexistent. I kept waking up in the middle of the night due to people's noise outside the building.
