Las Cabañas de La Vera

The location was excellent, surrounded by beautiful countryside with walks from the door, and the ability to walk to Aldeanueva or Jarandilla and further on the lovely Ruta del Emperador. The pool was sparkling clean, with shade from cherry trees and birdsong all around. It was lovely to sit outside on the private terrace for meals and a large BBQ was available for guests to use. Angel the proprietor could not have been more helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and if we needed anything he was always around. The cabana was basic inside but cool on hot days and with all we needed for preparing simple meals (microwave and 2 ring hob). There was plenty of hot water and heating inside for colder evenings.

Some of the furniture was in need of replacement (sofa). If you don't like foam bolster type pillows it might be worth taking your own. But these were minor issues for us.
