This was an amazing location for our family. You’re only a 5 minute drive from the entrance to the Torres del Paine park so it made for really easy days for day hikes. The hot water and heating were great so we stayed warm even on chilly days. The kitchen is basic but had everything we needed for our stay. Just make sure to bring everything you need since there aren’t any stores

Location and views could not be beat very close to the Serrano entrance of Torres Del Paine - we visited Lago Grey and Lake Pehoe/Salta Grande from this side, other sites were on the far side of this so we didn’t do them. It had everything we needed for our stay in terms of cooking supplies, blankets and tp. Staff was helpful - quick check in and she helped us on where to find a mechanic to patch the flat tire we got on the long pot holed drive into Rio Serrano. Host clearly communicated the need to bring all required food as there are no markets, stores, services in this area. Beds had plenty of warm covers.
Hot water was very limited for showers. Power was out several times which means no WiFi to research the hikes etc. one couch was definitely more comfy than the other. On the porch were two deck chairs but one time my husbands chair leg went between the slats on the porch and he tipped over. Just remember that you are paying for the location so the price while high was still a good value compared to other options in the area and having our own kitchen helped with costs. Also be aware and plan accordingly that it it a long slow bumpy process to get there. Lastly the place to turn could be better signed , there is an old board with the places listed but it is very faded and hard to read, we ended up somewhere else and asking for directions.

The location is great and the cabins are very cosy and fairly well equipped. Underfloor heating is great. No local options for shopping although if it is open the Rio Serrano Hotel is very good for dinner.
There is a pervasive smell from the bathroom which was not pleasant but resolved by keeping the door closed. Also the hot water failed one day and the reception does not respond before 0830 so unable to be resolved before we left for the day.

The units are very spacious, with lots of beds (ours could sleep 7-8). Kitchen is well equipped and the view is phenomenal.
Let's be clear: if this weren't Torres del Paine, this would be a one star+ type of lodging. The bathroom had a horrible smell and the hardware was dingy. Also, it rained a couple of days and there were water leaks everywhere (and they were fixed shortly after). If you are picky then look elsewhere. If you'd like to save some $$$ (everything is expensive at TdP) and you can live with these inconveniences then it will be OK. Maybe other unites were better. Inspect before accepting.
