Clean and comfortable but not the best location without a car. Expensive hotel for what it was

Hotel is definitely in need of a re-vamp. Rooms are clean but tired looking with furniture chipped etc. pool definitely a bit tired looking. Mismatched loungers not quite looking as per the pictures. We had mistakenly thought it was walking distance from Portoferraio. It is at least an hour walk from Portoferraio on busy roads. Need a car to stay here. Not value for money.

Quick stay at Elba

Good location near Portoferraio. NIce hotel with private beach. The Sea water is not good at the beach so you have to use the pool or find another location at Elba.

The breakfast closes early at 10:00 AM so you have to be quick to get there on time. We arrived 5 minutes before 10:00 and the staff started to remove all breakfast items while we were taking them. Very rude.

Built in the 80-ies the property is dated and could welcome a renovation to current standards for the money being charged. Breakfast choice is limited for a 4-star and the whole concept is not up to date

Nice week in Elba with a exploring the island

Location for daily trips. Great dinners and awesome ❤️ dinners!!! Nice clean and always green garden.

Beach is not so nice - Thera are many many more with better on the island. But it’s free and you can use boat to go somewhere. Or paddle board.

Welcoming family resort

Beautiful, sprawling property surrounded by parks and the ocean. There were tons of facilities for children, but nice for adults too. The dive center seemed very popular. The rooms were clean, but had trouble with the ac and mini fridge wasn’t working. The service was exceptional, Selene at the front desk, waiters, and maintenance were all very professional and welcoming.

I should’ve rented a car, after days in more centrally located hotels, I didn’t, but could’ve really used it here.

Woderful stay

really impressed by the professionalism of the staff. special thank you to Mr Antonio who with his kindness and knowledge made our stay even more memorable. the food at the restaurant was great, I believe one of the best on the island. also the guys working at the bar Michele, Francesco and Luca looked after us, super polite and the cocktails were amazing.

Interesting hotel resort but the price is not worth it.

The restaurant services and staff were indeed outstanding and you don't need to go to the city for dinners, maestro Antonio, restaurant manager and his team uplifted the restaurant experience to another level. Hotel is at calm and safe place, well accessible by car, with good and safe parking. Hotel area with its lovely green garden where you can spend hours of watching the port traffic and reading the books peacefully, pool facilities and small beach seems to be restricted zone only for guests so you will always have your beach beds available. Scuba-diving club is available here as well. Hotel offers boat transport to other beach or rental of the small boats for own trips. Restaurant dinners surprise every day. Pool staff is also very friendly and always willing to help (kayak or paddleboards are available for short range trips). We had our own car but hotel also offer motorbike rentals. Location is good: five minutes driving to the Portoferraio city, 15 minutes driving over the hill to Biodola beach, 10 minutes to Paduella, 15 minutes to Volterraio fotress climb, 5 minutes to supermarket & pharmacy.

We had the second to most expensive family room but it wasn't worth the price. Minibar is just a joke, equipment of the room is very basic, missing electric kettle, missing glasses, spoons, only one chair in the family room is also poor. The children room does not have anything than a bed (at least simple arm-chair or bench for luggage would make it more pleasant). The bathroom require rework or at least paint-job (unpleasant lights hot-fixes), toilet seat was yellowish (proper hand-work cleaning was needed), wall facing marble was falling apart. Only two sets of shampoo and shower gel tubes for family/day means you need to go shopping to have enough for all family members. Hotel is also very next to large lagoon with a lot of mosquitos so I wonder why hotel manager does not provide the electric repellents by default (you need to ask reception for that and then also for refills every now and then). Missing windows nets preventing mosquitos from entering the rooms is also stupid cost-saving or laziness in such area. The rooms are stained by bloody mosquitos after each stay and nobody paints that so you can see how many night battles for good sleep happened this season already. The beach at the hotel is just for the remote photos, the seabed is dirty and contains some rubbish from the near port, better use some flipflops when posing.

Nice hotel in the Portoferrario Bay with EXCELLENT staff!

First of all, I would like to highlight the attitude of the hotel staff. Extraordinary! The detailed information and advices provided by the reception staff was exceptional. We were given a separate form and map with useful explanations to reach the recommended sandy beach. In the same way, I can only praise the kind and professional work of the waiters in the restaurant. The breakfast selection was adequate. The air conditioning in the room worked properly. The water in the pools was perfectly clean and the temperature was optimal. On Friday evening, the hotel organizes a garden party on the beach. A sumptuous culinary experience in beautiful surroundings. Afterwards, a high-quality dance evening with live music. Unforgettable experience! Don't miss it under any circumstances!

At first glance, the water of the sea beach opening onto the busy Portoferrario Bay, frequented by ferries, was not crystal clear. We still bathed in it in the evening, because the pools are closed after 7 o'clock. There was nothing wrong with our skin and the water was very pleasantly warm.

Great

We were visiting Italy, came up Elba. This hotel was nice, traditional Italian style, nothing big but friendly. Restaurant staff was amazing. I had my best chocolate croissant there! We had a great lunch poolside. Saltwater pool was very relaxing. The beach front is not great but nice if you just want to sit by the water. Staff and cleanliness was great.

The outdoor area and was exceptional and very well kept. The room was clean and spacious. Service at the reception was great. They rented a moped for us and called a taxi for us when needed. The hotel also has a taxi boat to go to another beach nearby which was very nice (cost 10€ per person).

The AC in our room was set to 25 degrees celcius when we first got there. It was a bit too hot for us in the night and it was not possible to change the temperature. They could not fix it and not give us another room with a better working AC so as a result we were always waking up at night because we felt uncomfortable in the heat. The service at dinner was confusing and a bit weird at times. The road close to the hotel is not good, it is not possible to get to and from the hotel without a vehicle and the public bus stops service at 20:00 in the evening. So it is impossible to walk to nearby restaurants from the hotel.

The staff were excellent. They were very helpful. The pool area was nice with plenty of loungers. The breakfast was also good. The beach area is good if you are not swimming, as you cannot really swim in the sea. You need to go to one of the other beaches (but we knew about this)

Relaxing, with excellent accommodation and on-site facilities

On site facilities were excellent. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff at reception were excellent and very helpful always. All food and drinks purchased on site were of a very high standard. Also enjoyed quality live entertainment on one evening of my stay. Cleaning staff were so unobtrusive and no noise
