Welcoming and relaxing

It was such a lovely weekend for my partners 40th! The staff were lovely and so helpful! The breakfast buffet was so yummy with lots of choices.Location is amazing and you are only a couple mins walk away to the lake for stunning views. Lots of restaurants and little shops about and all in walking distance. The cheapest method of transport is a train to Roveretto and then a local bus to the hotel which stops right outside! We spent a day in the spa which was so relaxing and comfy with complementary tea. Was such a lovely weekend and we would definitely return Many thanks

Big disappointment

The breakfast was very good

Unfortunately, this hotel ended up being a bit of a disappointment for the last day of our holiday. After four very active days in the mountains, we were really looking forward to spending one relaxing day in a spa hotel, enjoying the wellness area and some treatments. When booking, it wasn’t mentioned that the spa facilities required an additional fee or that access to the indoor pool and sauna had to be reserved in advance. We only learned this upon arrival, and by then everything was fully booked, so we weren’t able to use the spa at all, which was quite frustrating given the purpose of our stay. One of the rooms also didn’t match the photos shown at the time of booking, being a 4 star hotel we expected no mold on the ceiling and that the door handle is not broken and that there are bedside tables. All this which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the massage I had booked as an extra lasted only 40 minutes instead of the advertised 50, as the masseuse arrived late. While these things can happen, it did take away from the overall experience. Finally, tango music playing during the treatment wasn’t exactly the most relaxing choice.

Disappointing

Location is good Stayed here many times but I feel the service and standards have deteriorated massively.

€1,100 for three nights in January for one person. Way too expensive for the small basic room I was given in the newer part of the hotel. Property is old and starting to show its age.

I highly recommend this hotel, especially to couples.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon. Upon arrival, we were given a welcome drink. We were accommodated in a beautiful room with a view of the pool. The hotel spa is pleasant, the outdoor pool is beautiful and has enough sun loungers for all guests. The breakfast was good and varied. The hotel's location is excellent, in a quiet area and right next to the old town. We will definitely be back.

The only drawback is that the parking lot is a bit too small.

Fabulous, good value for money

Four minutes to walk to the old city, so well maintained and and so lovely facilities. We lived Riva and we loved this hotel! Out of all the hotels we status in on our two weeks trip in Italy, this was the one with the best value for money. Great breakfast, fabulous pool, wonderful staff. We had a loft room witch was nice, but just be aware the window is so high on the wall you can’t look out of it. But for the prices we paid in August it felt like that was completely worth it. There is a supermarket and a pharmacy right around the corner so you can fill your minibar with whatever you like.

Good breakfast, staff were very friendly, location is very good, pool is nice, parking was available, spa downstairs. Couldn't fault. Would stay again.

Towels were not in my room when i arrived, but i told reception and this was sorted quickly with an apology.

Nice but not overwhelmed.

Breakfast was nice but slightly limited. Quality was good.

Sound isolation between rooms was fairly non-existent. Could hear the TV and people going up and down their stairs in the next door suite. Being charged 10 euros for a cot was nothing I’ve seen from a hotel before. Parking was a little convoluted with a fob and a long walk away and very tight parking spaces.

Nice and Classy Hotel in a Great Location with some flaws.

1) The hotel location is perfect, the architecture and decoration of the building is classy! 2) The breakfast was excellent!

1) No Safety Deposit Box in the Room 2) The spa internal heated pool was much less warm than it should be, it is supposed to be the nicest equipment of the spa but it wasn't! 3) To have a guaranteed parking space you have to pay an extra EUR$10/day.

Wonderful.

Breakfast was great. Pools were both a little small, but it was nice to have two. Great location, friendly staff. Riva del Garda is a magical place.

I got several mosquito bites when in the hotel lobby/bar, perhaps the hotel could do something about this? Perhaps spray something? Also we had supper at the hotel restaurant one night but it was pricey and not really that tasty. There are better restaurants in the town which are less expensive. The wines at the bar and the bar snacks were great however.

Grand Liberty is a beautiful old world hotel with modern facilities and rooms. we really loved our stay here. the staff were incredibly helpful with anything also. the breakfast is excellent.

not a dislike but just a recommendation to book into the spa early (before your trip) as we were unable to get in any days we were there.

Not enough hooks to hang things (such as the spa robes) in the room. The 2 story suit had no hooks upstairs nor any place to sit or lay down your cloths when getting ready for bed. The only clothes storage was downstairs. Once the sofa bed was made up, there was no place (such as a lounge chair or even a basic chair) left to sit.

a perfect stay in a beautiful location

loved the style of the hotel. location was perfect, just a short walk to the town and lake. great selection at breakfast. amazing food in the restaurant. staff were very friendly and welcoming. our room was lovely and we had a terrace with sun beds and bistro set which was really nice.

it would’ve been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. air con wasn’t working until mid June and we stayed beginning of June. it was quite warm a couple of days so would’ve been nice to use it.

Lovely hotel we had a suite very modern and everything was great including a fantastic spa bath everything controlled by touch pads from lights to shower to curtains. Breakfast was very good too. A lovely hotel also had a spa and wellness which we didn't use but looked lovely. We used the outdoor pool which was a lovely area. 5 min walk to centre. Underground parking area especially for bikes.

Nothing to dislike about the hotel The only thing I'd say is extra sun beds round the pool area are needed.

Prefect location just a few minutes away from heart of Riva's shops and restaurants, the cleanliness of the whole hotel with friendly staff that were really good with children. Plus the amazing indoor and out door pool and amazing food offered
