    The resort itself is beautiful, clean, and the staff in general were very polite and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, everyone greeted us kindly and the service at the restaurants and bars was good. The resort grounds are well maintained, and overall the atmosphere is relaxing. The food was okay overall, not amazing but not bad either. However, dinner at Da Vinci was absolutely wonderful and definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Now, unfortunately, the reason for this review is the experience we had with the Caracol Club sales presentation, because it completely changed the way we felt during our stay. On our first day, before check-in, an employee approached us offering a “marketing interview” in exchange for massage coupons and excursion/travel vouchers. When I initially said I wasn’t interested, she replied, “You’re going to have breakfast anyway,” which already felt a little pushy. The next morning, my husband and I went to the presentation at The View restaurant with a salesperson named *** . Before we even entered, he mentioned that his sister wanted to call him from New York and said he hoped we wouldn’t mind if the interview lasted less than 90 minutes. Of course, we said that was fine. Throughout the presentation, *** was polite and pleasant, very much like a trained salesperson with prepared answers and questions. After that, we were taken to another room to meet with a sales manager named *** . At first, he was also polite, but the pressure to buy the Caracol Club membership became extremely intense. Every time we said “no,” the down payment got lower, the monthly payments became cheaper, and more “free gifts” were added to the deal. He even mentioned that his manager behind us was signaling for him to close the sale. Every few minutes, another beer would magically appear for my husband. The pressure was honestly unreal. Every time we declined, they simply would not accept the answer. It became exhausting and extremely uncomfortable. Eventually, after HOURS of pressure and negotiations, the monthly payment seemed low enough and the deal sounded “good,” so we signed the contract. By that point, it had already been FOUR HOURS. We had lost almost our entire day sitting there signing paperwork. When we finally left, it was already lunchtime and there were barely any dining options left available besides Paloma. Even while eating, I had a terrible feeling in my stomach. Something didn’t feel right. It felt rushed, pressured, and honestly manipulative. That same afternoon, I started researching the membership online and immediately found countless negative reviews. I genuinely struggled to find positive experiences. Many people talked about spending thousands of dollars on lawyers just to cancel these contracts. My anxiety started getting worse and I couldn’t enjoy the rest of my day. That night, we also moved rooms because of a “free upgrade,” but unfortunately the room had major issues. The AC wasn’t working properly, and the room was extremely humid and wet. The floors, sheets, and even parts of the room felt damp. My husband actually slipped and fell because the floor was so wet. It was uncomfortable and impossible for me to relax or sleep. Instead of enjoying vacation, I spent the entire night reading the contract line by line and researching other people’s experiences. The more I read, the more convinced I became that I had made a huge mistake. The next morning, I immediately sent emails canceling the membership so I would have written proof. Ignacio suddenly stopped responding, and nobody answered the emails either. I went downstairs to the members’ lobby area, and the first employee acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and said I could only handle it later in the afternoon. Another employee quietly told me to go directly back to the sales office where the agreement had been signed. When I arrived there, *** immediately started trying to negotiate again instead

    You get what you pay for. This hotel is on the lower end for all inclusive. The food overall is pretty bad to horrible. The service is even worse. But again, you can pay double or triple the price if you want better.

    I recall being pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Its certainly not the best. The food is really not that great. But I was expecting it to be terrible since its a Wyndham and it wasnt too bad. Drinks were pretty good and nobody got sick from the food. I dont know if I would return but it was fine.
