+ Free parking in closed parking garage + Very modern room (better than pictures) + Jacuzzi bathtub was sooo luxirious with bubbles, jets and in-built light and speakers (!) + Very good breakfast. Lots of fresh bread, fruit, vegetables, eggs etc.

Great location, secure free parking nearby. Given pass code for front door and bedroom by text so didn't actually meet staff till we were leaving but that suited us. Clear instructions given for self check in. Exceptionally large room, very clean. Excellent breakfast up to 10.30am, great for lazy lie in's. Nice restaurants near hotel.

Lots of work going on in town after floods last year, happy to contribute to economy and hope to get back again next year to see progress. No bar in hotel, just a vending machine, foyer space limited and not conducive to sitting in. Maybe restaurant area could be used in evening.

We stayed for one night on our way from Aachen and the hotel is well located to explore the beautiful city of Stolberg. The check in was easy with a code provided to you per email in case you arrive late. The staff were friendly and polite. The bed was quite good.

Unfortunately, it was noisy. We could hear all the noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms (including those you’d prefer not to hear). There is scaffolding around the building and the works started before 8am in the morning, so no chance to sleep.

Breakfast was wonderful. It exceeded our expectations, great ambiance and many choices! Overall, we had an enjoyable stay.

The elevator wasn't working. It wasn't really a problem for us, but it would have been had I come with my husband. We had an issue with the code to our hotel door. I called the number given. The woman I spoke with was very nice, however, the issue was I was at the wrong door. My email confirmation gave me 2 different room numbers, keep in mind I only booked one room. I needed to be at the other door, not the first one given. So, some confusion there. We booked a three person room since I was traveling with my mother and a friend. To our surprise there was an extra bed in our room. It doesn't seem like the 2nd single bed was supposed to be there, and I didn't request it. It was blocking the door from opening all the way. However, it was only one night, and then no one had to share the double. Also had a little confusion when checking out. We were told we hadn't paid. We had confirmation that it was paid through booking.com. We checked the credit card and it was showing as a transaction. After they called someone, they realized it was all taken care of. In the end it was fine.

I would stay at this hotel again after COVID.

Good location. Car park nearby and cost paid by the hotel. Very clean. Despite COVID the rooms are cleaned every day with beds made. There is a "do not disturb" sign to use if you prefer not to have this. All staff wear masks. There is hand gel to use on entering the hotel and as you enter the dining room.

I went to breakfast earlier than my partner on 2 occasions. On the second one an older lady working in the kitchen loudly questioned me in front of other guests about when I could expect them to join me. When I could not commit to this I was moved to a smaller table. The way in which it was done was embarrassing. One of the smaller tables is in close proximity to a table where guests can help themselves to hot drinks and the small kitchen area where up to 2 staff can work together in. The staff frequently come in and out of the kitchen to bring hot drinks and cutlery in a serviette to each table, also to wipe tables down after guests have left. The other small tables are close to the breakfast buffet table. The larger tables have sufficient space between them. The breakfast is buffet style with plates stacked up for each guest to take. There is a great choice of food, most cold, but some hot, is mostly in containers with lids that have to be lifted up to get to the food with one item of cutlery within the container which all use to take food out and put onto their plate. Bread is all in one basket with one pair of tongues to use by all. Other people staying did not seem fazed by this style of breakfast, which is not allowed in 2 countries I have been to due to COVID and has bene replaced by a pre order and brought to the table on a plate system. Unfortunately some guests did think it was Ok to stand next to you when you were already at the buffet table, rather than wait, some also thought it OK to pick bread out of the basket by hand. A buffet style of breakfast is not allowed in at least 2 countries I have been to due to COVID and has instead been replaced with a pre order and bring to the table system.

Topkwaliteit met een persoonlijke touch

Heel gastvrij personeel dat met je meedenkt en goede tips geeft. Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid en zeer goed verzorgd. Daar hebben we van genoten. De badkamer is schoon en de douche lekker warm. Echt een mooi hotel op een toplocatie met gratis parkeren in de parkeergarage aan de overkant van de straat.

Personal war sehr freundlich, ich will jetzt kein Buch schreiben aber sie haben alle meine Fragen und Wünsche beantwortet :) Das Zimmer war gemütlich Zehr zentral gelegen

Eigentlich gar nichts Aber zumindest ein paar Alternativen Für die Leute die keine Milchprodukte essen oder gut vertragen können gar nicht schlecht :) also bisschen mehr Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet würde nicht schaden 🙃

Prima hotel dichtbij historisch Stolberg

Het parkeren is zeer goed geregeld. Je maakt gratis gebruik van een parkeergarage. Eerst even inchecken en je krijgt een toegangspasje. De bedden zijn supergoed!

Eine sehr nette Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichen Personal. Würde dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

Bei späte Ankunft genügte ein Anruf und der Schlüssel war uns aus dem Schlüsselkasten zugängig. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig. Zimmer und Bad gepflegt. Das Auto konnten wir kostenlos im Parkhaus direkt gegenüber dem Hotel abstellen. Gleich um die Ecke gab es die Möglichkeit Essen zu gehen.

Es könnte eventuell ein paar Haken im Bad angebracht werden?

Ein zauberhafter Aufenthalt

Das City Hotel ist mitten in der Stadt. Ein Parkhaus, kostenlos nutzbar, direkt gegenüber. Das Personal ist unheimlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Fußläufig sind viele Restaurants, Bistros und Kneipen erreichbar. Auch die Burg ist dicht dran. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und anstandslos sauber. Wir hatten ein großes Himmelbett und im Bad war ein moderner Whirlpool zu finden, übrigens eine schöne Überraschung. Das Frühstück ist üppig, frisch und ausgewogen. Der Kaffee war gut und wurde rechtzeitig aufgefüllt.

Teile des Bauwerks sind in die Jahre gekommen. Die Tür zum Bad ließ sich schwer schließen und ein zurückliegender Wasserschaden war an der Decke und der Türzarge noch erkennbar.
