Good location, clean and warm room with polite and helpful staff

The hotel's location was very central. The staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. The room was very clean and warm. The hotel owner and staff responded to all our questions and requests immediately. We were very satisfied.

Maybe a small refrigerator could be placed in the room.

Great facilities, but lack of hospitality

I enjoyed the overall peaceful atmosphere. The facilities were clean and pleasant, with a charming rustic style, and everything was spotless and well organized. Being located a bit away from the city added to the feeling of rest and tranquility. The surroundings were quiet, what makes it perfect for relaxing.

I was disappointed with the lack of hospitality. Although the receptionist became somewhat pleasant after some interaction, the overall attitude felt cold, unwelcoming, like they were doing us a favour. Constant discomfort. There was no assistance with tourist information even though there were things to do (train trip lake walk etc.). I also felt uncomfortable when I wanted to wait 30 minutes in the reception area for our bus because it was cold and snowing outside. When I asked to use the bathroom one last time for my son before leaving, I was directed to a public restroom in the village, which I found extremely insensitive. Additionally, the windows in the room had no blackout curtains, so light made it difficult for my son to sleep. Considering the price, I expected a more welcoming and considerate experience. I would have liked to become a regular guest for relaxing weekend stays, but I will look for another place instead.

Good B&B near the center of Grainau

Top location in Grainau with free parking area and easy access to the center by foot. Kind staff and reasonable prices.

The "old" Nuss with its charming restaurant and excellent local specialities has gone. The restaurant is closed and it is not easy to find a place for dinner in Grainau during the high season. Bed&Breakfast is run privately and efficiently which is setting the atmosphere.

Great, comfortable weekend away with my furry friends.

Great location with a family feel. The owner was very welcoming to me, my dog and cat. The single room was big enough for all of us and very clean!

Ear plugs are a must!! Bed was also quite hard with a very soft pillow.

Superb

The location is beautiful and close to Zugspitze and Eibsee. The room was clean and spacious. It is close to several hiking trails and the hotel offers guest cards for free public transport and some discounts.

The price for the night was quite high but so was everything in the area.

Perfect place to stay

Great location, super easy to just walk to lots of places. Lots of good walking tracks nearby as well. It has a nice retro aesthetic but is super clean. Breakfast was pretty generous i’m the mornings and the staff were lovely. I don’t think I could fault my stay!

Overall it was a pleasant stay if not high expectation, bit expensive but that’s just the area.

Location convenient for visiting nearby sights like Eibsee, Zugspitze and Wankbahn etc. Easy walk to a few nearby restaurants. Hosts were very friendly and the accommodation has a traditional feel and character (if that’s what you like); the balcony to the room was lovely with a partial view of the alps.

Beds were very thin and creaked a lot when I moved, so it was hard to sleep. The bedroom is quite small and hard to open two regular size luggage bags on the floor. The ceiling to the bedroom was very low so for two fairly tall people it felt a bit claustrophobic. The walls are not so sound proof so we could hear people walking around and other rooms shower etc. The carpets and curtains appear very old so I question the cleanliness but otherwise everything else was clean. Note there is no lift and luggage must be carried up the stairs.

A comfy stay in the heart of Grainau.

The location is great for exploring the area and right by our favorite restaurant, Spatzenhäusl. The room was spacious and clean and we could see the mountains. The staff was very friendly.

Some updates are needed and the restaurant wasn’t open due to not having enough staff. The place has so much potential, so I hope the needed help is found. Little things could have made a difference. For example, the toilet brush was very old and needs replaced.
