Very high standards of cleanliness and exceptionally friendly, professional staff. Excellent location at JBR, close to the beach, restaurants, and main attractions. We stayed in a suite with a view of Ain Dubai, which was absolutely stunning. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety of high-quality food options.

Soundproofing could be improved – music from nearby clubs was clearly audible at night. We were offered an alternative, quieter room, unfortunately without a view. Almost every night around 2:00 a.m. there were loud noises coming from the room above us, sounding like renovation or heavy activity. We reported this three times, but the issue was not permanently resolved. The pool water could be slightly warmer, to improve overall comfort.

Absolute paradise

Everything was amazing, notably the staff were exceptional and our room was very nice. We arrived at 7:30am from the airport and check in wasn't until 3pm. The staff were able to upgrade us to an ocean view room and allowed us to check in from 8am onwards. Considering this was during peak season we were very grateful. Additionally we were also given a late check out as our flight to leave wasn't until late at night. Furthermore the location was unreal, felt like the most luxurious trip I've ever had. Shout out to staff members Gabin & Collins for their constant good energy and customer service.

Lovely location and hotel, but not ideal for a winter or high-season stay

The location is perfect, the hotel and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated and maintained and the breakfast is fabulous.

I’m not sure whether this was due to the high season or other operational issues, but as a group of six we repeatedly had difficulty being seated together at breakfast. We were happy to wait for a larger table, yet on several days we were asked to sit separately or placed near the entrance, far from the buffet. Some staff responses felt dismissive. Although the manager later apologized, the issue continued throughout our stay. The pool is small and not heated, making it unusable in winter. The “spa” area is also very snalk, limited (women only) and extremely dated, leaving almost no option to enjoy the hotel during cooler weather.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was below expectations. • The check-in process took longer than usual and felt unorganized. • Many of the public facilities were either closed, overused, or appeared worn out and outdated. • There is no private beach, which was disappointing given the hotel’s advertised standards. • The rooms are poorly insulated, allowing a lot of noise from outside. • The bathroom sliding door doesn’t close properly, compromising privacy. • The shower area has no glass enclosure, leading to water splashing everywhere. • The room windows are sealed shut and cannot be opened for fresh air. • The rug under the bed is too small and feels out of place. • The TV offers only public channels — no international or premium options. Overall, this property does not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. It would be more accurately rated as a 4-star at best.

Our stay was disappointing. Only housekeeping (Kaysar) and the porter (Yousuf) were excellent. Restaurant service was terrible — drinks forgotten, no apologies, and dirty plates not cleared until asked multiple times

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing. The only positive aspect was the excellent service from the housekeeping staff, especially Kaysar, who did an outstanding job, and the porter Yousuf, who always welcomed us warmly with a smile. Their efforts were the only thing that made our stay bearable. Unfortunately, the restaurant service was very poor. Even at breakfast, simple drink orders were often forgotten, and no apologies were offered. On top of that, dirty plates remained on the table until we called the staff several times to clear them. Overall, apart from the dedication of Kaysar and Yousuf, the service fell far below expectations. This property does not reflect the standards of a five-star hotel, nor does it live up to the reputation one would expect from a Marriott property

Beautiful hotel

Very nice hotel, I think it’s recently been renovated so everything is new and the rooms are so pretty and spacious. The staff are all so kind and friendly. Hotel location is fantastic, everything is around you and you have a private beach area just for the hotel. Would definitely go there again and again. I really loved my room view that was directly on beach and Dubai Eye.

Nothing really, the only thing that bothered me was that the bathroom light did not turn off entirely and since the bathroom has a glass the light is seen through when sleeping.

- staff is very good and professional. At lobby and restaurant. Managers apologized a lot. - cleanning staff is very very good. Rooms are very very clean. - breakfast is good. -location is very good at the marina, with beach, restaurants, big wheel and subways/trains.

It is a good hotel. But It is not really a 5 stars hotel. It is a 4 stars hotel with very good view and very good location. - Too much people playing with balls on the pool, hitting others guest in the head. Balls must be forbidden on the pool. - Sometimes many studdents from classes around the hotel go to pool, 30/40 people. It is too much. - And room with connecting door are too noisy because of the connecting door. We were wake up at 2 am because of a party on the other room.

Great location, newly renovated rooms, lounge & staff were fantastic!! Special shout out to Juni, Logie & Michel. Juni treated us to a special leaving surprise cake!! She was so lovely 🥰 Kingston & all the staff around the pool were amazing!! Can highly recommend this property!!

A pool where the grass area is for adults would be perfect! It is a family hotel, however it did get quite busy in the pool at times. Also it looks like this area needs an update to match the hotel interiors new renovations.

Interesting

Location was superb. Access from airport is about 45 minutes with a constant 10 minute crawl once off the freeway 300 metres from the hotel. This hotel is dwarfed by the newer skyscrapers around it giving it a quaint from the recent past appeal. Facilities were varied, catering for all ages. As a late May visitor, temperatures ranged from 37 to 44 during the day. Extreme humidity created a smog like effect spoiling the magnificent view most of the day. A sea view room is highly recommended. The hotel is not super modern but rooms were extremely clean and well presented with up to date fittings including USB ports at power points. Power sockets are big UK 3 pin. The area also has a public access beach beside the hotel's private access section adding to traffic congestion. Shopping and eating facilities are many and varied and within a few minutes walk. All staff at the hotel were extremely courteous and would go out of their way to assist with any minor concerns. I would like to thank Mukul Subedi in the outside dining area and Lijesh for their care and support during my stay. Oh and a special thank you to the comical local grey and black small raven like birds for their antics. The variety and quality of breakfast was outstanding and so yummy. Also, the tour person hidden away from the public area was also of great assistance.

The exorbitant price of alcohol. Not just in the hotel but all over the area. For example - A $15 bottle of Chardonnay in Australia is $263 in Dubai. Mind you a pint of beer is only twice as much as something similar at Australian airports. My only other minor complaint was that the backs of the outside dining chairs needed a soft back. Mind you, if their are 4 chairs and only 2 people, the problem is easily solved.
