Although this hotel is officially part of a well-known Western chain, it has absolutely nothing in common with its counterparts. The property is extremely old and in poor condition, and there is nothing about it that reflects a 5-star standard. There are practically no facilities available, and communication is very difficult as the staff do not speak English. This stay felt like a complete waste of money and was deeply disappointing. Based on my experience, the branding is very misleading. I genuinely wish that Accor, the French parent company, would visit this property themselves—if only to see the reality and remove their name from the facade permanently.

I can’t believe how much the staff has helped me adjust to life in China. I lost things I had to go to the hospital and they were so helpful a special thank you to Daisy. Who guided me to the right hospital she showed true concern, which was phenomenal. I left my jacket on the train and they found the jacket and arranged to have it sent to me at the hotel. What service the rooms are spacious, clean and affordable. They are styled with a Chinese art deco theme. The building is beautiful and the breakfast was exceptional as well. I would highly recommend this hotel. Other than staying at the Royal Monceau in Paris, this was the finest hotel I have ever stayed at. And it was about 10% of the price at the Monceau. I totally recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. I will never forget their kindness.
