Breakfast needs to improve

Breakfast buffet has not much choice as per our likings

Title: Far below standard — poor breakfast, room card problems, and weak management response Review: Our stay at Majestic Premier Hotel Bur Dubai was very disappointing and far below what we expected from a 4-star hotel. One of the biggest problems was breakfast. On Agoda, breakfast was presented and charged as part of the hotel stay, but in practice it was not a proper 4-star buffet experience. The hotel explained that if there are fewer than 12 guests, they serve à la carte or bring breakfast to the room, and only if there are more than 20 guests they provide a buffet. In reality, this means guests may pay expecting a buffet-style breakfast, but receive a limited, poor-quality à la carte breakfast instead. For a hotel with several floors and many rooms, this explanation felt unreasonable and badly managed. The breakfast service itself was very poor. Coffee was served cold and without a coffee spoon. Sugar was taken away while the coffee was served. Butter and jam were provided, but no bread was available. Instead, sweet cakes were offered. After requesting bread, we had to wait around 30 minutes and insist several times before receiving it. The egg order was also handled badly. We requested boiled eggs, but the eggs were delivered incorrectly multiple times. Even after the third attempt, they were still not properly boiled as requested. Communication with the breakfast staff was difficult, not only because of language, but because staff did not properly listen to or understand basic guest questions. Most concerning, both guests experienced diarrhea after trying the breakfast, which raised serious concerns for us about food quality and hygiene. Another repeated problem was the room key cards. During our stay of more than 10 days, the cards stopped working almost every day after 12:00. We had to go back to the front desk to reactivate them, sometimes up to three times per day. This was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. The only explanation given was not to touch the card with any magnetic device, which we had already been careful to avoid. No one seemed willing to accept that the hotel’s card system may be outdated or faulty. What made the experience worse was the attitude at the front desk and from the shift manager. Their focus appeared to be more on charging and cashing out for the room than on being guest-oriented, supportive, or solution-focused. They did not properly consider the breakfast issue, the repeated room-card failures, or the service problems as part of the overall guest stay. Overall, this was not a 4-star experience. The breakfast, service, communication, room-card system, and management response were all far below acceptable hotel standards. For a long stay, these repeated issues made the experience very disappointing. Rating suggestion for Agoda: Overall: 1–2/10 Service: 1/10 Breakfast: 1/10 Value for money: 1/10 Facilities/room-card system: 1/10

It was not a peaceful stay as music could be heard throughout the night in the room. Couldn't sleep at all. Corridors were noisy as well. Asked the staff and made request at Agoda as well while booking for higher floor but was given the room at 1st floor.
