Perfect location and nice hotel, mostly very expensive

Very good hotel, with a large variety of options for breakfast. Nice, comfortable, clean rooms, but you cannot always rely on the "please clean my room" sign on the door.

We needed an additional room and my husband was told a room was booked. When we returned in the late afternoon after touring Sanssouci, we were told the room was given to someone else. We ended up sleeping three to a very small room. The third person had a narrow metal fold up lounger. Less the ideal. Breakfast buffet was fine...but waited 12 minutes for rolls as they had all been taken. I don't appreciate fake scrambled eggs out of a box. Was disappointed they couldn't make fresh scrambled eggs from real eggs. Bread seemed all wheat bread. Would be nice to have Roggen and Dinkel. Picked this hotel for the location to the Sanssouci Park and wasn't disappointed. AParking fee of $22 per day is steep.

Agoda showed me the prices cheaper so a thought to book via Agoda but the hidden city tax was not included. Which I found very unfair policy and therefore next time will not use the Agoda. Hotel was not very clean staff was good and location was also good.
