Nice pool and staff but ageing accommodations and open access that can be dangerous kids wise

The pool and the staff are the nicest part of this hotel, but take into consideration that the pool sides are old and kids can hurt themselves while playing around in the water. Some waterbeds were at disposal in the hotel which we really appreciated specially for the kids. Breakfast is great and everyone in the staff is very friendly and caring.

The AC is a big Minus of the hotel, specially when during the summer. It is not a real AC so the rooms are not fresh at all, too bad The rooms themselves are a bit old The garden is left abandoned, there are bad herbs growing all over the pool, it’s a shame that kids can’t run a bit in the green area. My kid was bitten by nettles and cried for an hour. Also very dangerous, there is an open door, leading directly outside the hotel which is nothing else but… the freeway ! Don’t leave your kid out around the pool

Bearable.

The bed (spacious and comfortable). The fresheness of the room (no A/C, and it was quite hot outside). The curtain in the shower (not common in France). The solicitation for a taxi was promptly and properly handled.

No bar open all the time, even by the pool. People in the reception are not comfortable with English. The TV was not working (not a real issue, because we were not particularly interested on it, but it should be working). The faucet in the bathroom had a strange design that prevented us from drinking tap water without a glass. No toilet brush in the bathroom. It looks outdated and weared inside.

The rooms were just depressing, old, dingy. I actually left without checking out and booked another hotel nearby.

This place is like it was in 1982. Awful furniture, terrible decor, cheap, ugly and awful value for money. Nearby firms need to stop recommending it.

Very disappointed compared with other Novotel hotels

Pool and pool area was good. Location convenient for our journey

Sleeping arrangements, booked two double with sofa rooms but had one twin and one double so an uncomfortable night with two sharing a small sofa bed. No air conditioning, hotel decoration was tired and in need of refurbishment. Noisy rooms.

the beds were very uncomfortable. we had a room for 2 adults and 2 children. the room had a sofa bed which was far smaller than a double and was not sleep-able on with springs felt through the mattress. the air con was turned off and couldn’t be over ridden leaving us to open the window to make the room bearable but as it’s next to a motor way junction all you could hear all night was motorbikes racing up and down. restaurant options were non existent. luckily it’s next to a McDonald’s. pool closed at 7 and opens at 10 making it a pointless selling point for people travelling through.

The rooms were really small,. From outside the hotel is really uggly. I was not allowed to eat next to the pool the icecream bought from McDonalds...

Underwhelming and clearly designed for business trips not family stays

Bed was comfy Pool looked nice although too cold to go in

No kids menu at dinner No atmosphere at dinner (e.g. no music was played) Breakfast was poor (not a lot of choice) We were expecting a great experience considering the brilliant service and food we had at the Novotel Orleans Sud the week before (and that was why we booked another Novotel) but it was very disappointing
