Comfy and inviting rooms. Spacious outdoor dining, great location when en route to Italy. Half way between the channel tunnel and the French Italian border.

The lobby area has direct access to bar/breakfast area and the open nature makes for a welcoming atmosphere. The reception desk itself is literally a small movable desk so not immediately apparent that that's the check-in. Seems to be a growing trend in a number of hotel brands, prefer the traditional style myself! Staff friendly, communal areas clean and well-maintained in general. Parking not an issue and good access to main roads and bus stops to town. Area quiet, a business park but actually quite nice for a short stroll round. Room clean and decent cupboard space. No issues with noise from adjoining rooms. Shower water pressure good. Wifi fine for streaming and a well-positioned and proper-sized TV which many places don't have. Always appreciate having a kettle in the room with some proper mugs. Air-conditioning appears to be controlled centrally and not with the wall unit in the room, it had to work overtime in over 30C heat and was just about ok after removing duvet and just using the cover to sleep. Found the price to be fair for a weekend at the end of May. Would stay here again.

Only minor suggestions. The building is showing its age in places, tiny creaking lift and the exterior is a little dated and in need of freshening up. Would recommend changing fabric-covered furniture when it picks up stains.

Easy to get to and nice lobby area, bed fairly comfy and room clean

Advertised as air conditioned but its not proper air con, we stayed during a heat wave with a dog and I’m pregnant so really not ideal and made it very uncomfortable so much we got up early the next day to leave. Also found the back of an earring on the carpet suggesting it hadn’t been hoovered
