Excellent receptionists, location
Rooms bit old

Hotel lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Lobby was cosy with lots soft seating. Breakfast was great with many options. Location was superb. Very close on foot to Christmas markets.
We stayed in a family room and we found it a bit on the small side for 4 people. Booking.com site mentioned we would have a river view, sadly we had a view of the back of a cafe/restaurant.

Really convenient hotel right in the centre of Strasbourg, and ideal for us as we had travelled there by train from London via Paris. The rooms were a reasonable size and had the services and amenities I would expect from the standard of hotel. Close to the city centre and near a tram stop for our onward connection. The breakfast was absolutely superb, in fact one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had in France. Overall would recommend to other travelling families.
The hotel was perhaps a bit tired in places, for example in the room areas and corridors. Probably due to the hotel's age. There was also only one water fountain on the ground floor which was being serviced at the time we needed it. The bar staff kindly topped up our water bottles but it seemed odd there was just one, particularly as this was provided instead of single-use plastic in rooms.

It was decent not as expected.
No water in the room. The place is hot and the AC isn’t working. Breakfast was not the best.

From our room we had a view on the cathedral. Good breakfast. Central location. Easy parking
Carpets everywhere including in the room. Lobby area is stylish, rooms less

It's in a fantastic location, right in the centre within walking distance to many key sights.
The room was clean and breakfast was good.
The parking option was not very clear to us before arrival so we found this confusing and the hotel could do more to make this clearer to guests prior to arrival.
On check in we were told that there was a problem with our room safe and asked whether this was a problem to us. We said it was and we needed a safe so we *think* the receptionist changed our rooms however when we got to our room the safe didn't work. We then spent around an hour waiting for someone to come and fix it. The communication was so poor that when I went to reception to find out what was happening the receptionist was quite rude to me and said it was a problem with all of the rooms at that present time. I explained it was an inconvenience because we wanted to leave the hotel and explore the city as we only had one night in Strasbourg. He did offer the general hotel reception safe, which I declined out of discomfort. It did get sorted in the end but the process was just painful due to staff not communicating properly from the beginning.

Location was great. Easy access to tram, shopping centre and city centre. Breakfast selection good. View from our room was nice.
Room cleaning service was inconsistent. Did not clean our room on our second day even though we hung out the sign to let them know we were out and wanted cleaning. Therefore rubbish was not taken and we ran out of toilet roll/facial tissue. Some toiletries were very watered down in our room (body wash). Only 2 lifts which were shared with hotel workers, so sometimes we would have to wait nearly 5 mins for the lift to arrive, only to find it full with a trolley inside. Spent a lot of time waiting for the lift.

Central location
Rooms have been updated, but bathrooms haven’t. Bathroom facilities are tired.
Rooms don’t have air con
Underground car parking is poorly lit and dirty.

The communal areas are spacious, well maintained and stylishly furnished. There is also a play area for children
I personally do not prefer carpeting on the floor, bathrooms need a refresh

I liked the location, the breakfast and the convenience of it being attached to the shopping centre.
The pictures advertised are misleading. You’re advertising a clean & modern 4 star hotel yet when I arrived there it was old, smelly, mouldy, tiny and uncomfortable! One of the lifts were broken. Our room key had to be replaced every day as it just stopped working constantly. We booked a room for 4 people and we received the tiniest hotel room where we literally couldn’t even open our luggage. The pillows smelled horrendous, like they were 10 years old and had a 1000 other peoples sweat in it, we had to complain about them and then were gaslit being told “we’ve never received this complaint before” yeah right! Our view was scaffolding and there were the loudest construction noises coming through the walls non stop during our entire stay. Walls are paper thin and can hear everything especially at night! Internet slow and even Netflix stopped working due to the slow internet, I also had a cockroach appear on the bed at one stage. One of the, if not the WORST hotel stays I’ve had in my entire life. The only positive is the breakfast, helpful staff and location.

Centrally located, sparkling clean and comfortable room. Restaurant in the lobby and shopping center annexed to hotel.
A little nexpresso machine will be a welcome addition to an otherwise well thought out room.

Only the location...
The most dirty hotel I have ever stayed. Stains and dirt everywhere, even the bath towels...
The staff pretty unhelpful, the facilities bad in general...
4.0 / 10.0
The only advantage of this hotel is its location and breakfasts for French conditions.
The quality and cleanliness are appalling. Dirty carpets, smelly towels, and bedding (clean, however, the smell is disgusting). The furniture in the room looks quite worn. Cleaning service without uniforms - you have the impression that people from the street came in and changed the bedding. Generally, the hotel is in very poor condition, max 3 stars. And finally, the reception ran out of discount codes for parking - incredible!

While waiting for check in, a mouse ran throug the bar. A homeless sleeping in the parking.

Great location and nice hotel with lovely staff. However roadworks made parking really difficult. Also the room we had was disturbed by a nightclub/late bar until 6am. Not an ideal family room.

Place, breakfast ok, underground parking.
Dirty room, no desk in my room because of some obscure family room setup not mentioned on booking.com site. Broken sink, shower in bath. Generally old and requiring refurbishment. No free water unless you use the Accor card, they even tell you to switch to Accor site when you complain about their family room rules.

Very convenient. Appreciated that they made the sofa bed for our kids. More than enough room for 4 people.
Since the Ibis is connected, it’s a bit confusing.
Staff is somewhat unengaging but perhaps due to holiday weekend.

We stayed for 3 nights, Hotel staff arranged a separate bed for my 9 year old which made it quite convenient for us. Bathroom is quite small however functional with good quality toiletries. Breakfast spread was good, but staying 3 consecutive days made it little monotonous for us, however at the end we were satisfied with the variety and quality they offered, staff is very friendly and busy with refills of the items promptly. Best part is the location, it is within the walking distance from all the city center attractions. Parking is little cramped but safe and comparatively cheaper (20 EUR per night), pay attention to the instructions for the parking as there are two separate entrances and only through one (left side) the lift to Novotel is accessible.
Nothing that we disliked, just a tip - request for City/ Canal view rooms as the back side views are not that great

Breakfast was ok
Nightclub in the building and loud music and people talking from 11pm to 6am. We could not sleep. The room was stuffy and we had to open the window, which made it worse.

Good location and good breakfast.
Very old hotel, unhappy looking staff that is not very focused (doublebooked same room for two different families, though quickly rectified), parking charged separately. Overpriced. Lobby and restaurant feel crammed and dizzy.

Delicious breakfast and nice lounge area staffed by friendly staff. The location is very practical as well with access to public transport and parking
There is an outdoor club and bar that pumps things up on Saturday night so you will definitely hear it if you're staying from the Riverside

I very much like the location of this hotel, with a public underground parking giving you direct access to the hotel.
So convenient when arriving by car.
The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast as usual was great.
I found the bed too soft, and the towels a bit scratchy, clearly they need replacing.
But these are minor points which wouldn't undermine our overall satisfaction.

Really difficult to find entrance of hotel once in the garage. Signage minimum and not possible to get from one floor another in the garage so we had to walk up stairs with our luggage
Room very comfortable only suggestion to put real glasses in the room instead of throw away cups that started to leak when you put hot coffee or tea in it
Parking signage to hotel
