Novotel Macon Nord - Porte de Bourgogne

Location was great , easy to find . Grounds all around the hotel to walk the dogs . Food in restaurant was very good for evening meal and breakfast ok but could be better

Beans and scrambled egg was cold at breakfast. The charge for dogs we don’t understand.

Good breakfast, convenient location next to the highway - easy access when travelling long distances; good price-quality ratio; the hotel is truly kids friendly with an outdoor playground and various other elements indoors too.

Not that it would have personally bothered me but the rooms are a bit outdated and some elements would deserve a bit of refreshment, e.g. the shower.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The garden was lovely - lots of space, nature trees and play equipment for my children.

The decor in the room and bathroom was a little dated - but it was charming in a way. Nostalgic!

The bed was good. The staff were helpful and polite.

We stayed at the hotel three months earlier, and had an excellent room very close to the entrance, so I was expecting something similar. However, this time we had a room that was a little downmarket (the bathroom and toilet looked like something we would have had in the 1960s), but the bed was good. We had a very long walk to the room, and as I had told the hotel that my wife had problems with walking, someone should have realised that it would be difficult for her, and suggested that we could park the car much closer to the room.
